After three hard-fought matches, especially the tenacious semi-final, this will be an opportunity for Coach Nguyen Anh Tu and his team to seek a victory to dedicate to their home fans. A win would also be a valuable reward for the team's determination to overcome difficulties. Coach Nguyen Anh Tu shared: "The Nha Trang University team couldn't reach the final, but looking at the performance of my players, I have no complaints. Every member of the team, both starters and substitutes, united as one, giving their all and showing determination for the match, but we had to accept defeat when the opponent scored a superb goal. We will turn the disappointment of the semi-final into motivation for this match, determined to win and secure the bronze medal as a gift to the numerous teachers, students, and staff who have always supported the team."

The Svay Rieng University team also expressed their determination to win the bronze medal and return home with their heads held high after their first participation in the International Student Games. In the semi-final match, they fought hard for 80 minutes, creating many clear opportunities, including a missed penalty and two shots hitting the post… before unexpectedly conceding a goal in injury time. Facing the host team at Nha Trang University's stadium, the Cambodian team will still be cheered on from the stands by dozens of fellow countrymen, including family members of the players and overseas Vietnamese living and studying in Khanh Hoa province. Coach Som Chanravuth expressed: "The Svay Rieng team had memorable days at the 2026 International Student Games, in a fantastic football atmosphere. It's a pity we couldn't reach the final, but I couldn't ask for more as my players gave their all, only lacking a little luck. Hopefully, the Svay Rieng University team will be luckier in this match, to bring home the bronze medal, marking a memorable journey in Nha Trang."
