One of the key tasks being vigorously implemented is to bury the power grid system, aiming to build a green - clean - beautiful urban area; at the same time, ensuring safe power supply and urban aesthetics.
Recorded at Bui Thi Xuan Street - one of the densely populated routes identified as a key project of the 2024 - 2025 period, attracting the drastic participation of construction units and Da Lat Electricity.

In mid-November 2025, the Da Lat Electricity Management Team mobilized cranes, specialized vehicles and 15 officers and employees to coordinate with related units to recover electrical cabinets and electric poles still located within the roadway and complete the underground power grid connection on Bui Thi Xuan route, Xuan Huong ward - Da Lat.
The project to renovate and upgrade this route is invested by the Da Lat Area Construction Investment Project Management Board and constructed by Hung Nguyen Company Limited. To date, most of the construction work has been completed. Many sections have put underground cables into operation, contributing to ensuring stable power supply for the area's load.

In the field, the low voltage power poles located in the roadway after the expansion need to be recovered, a total of 11 poles. The Da Lat Electricity Management Team is implementing the relocation of the poles and coordinating the connection of customer electricity meters to the new underground low voltage line to synchronize the entire line.
Mr. Tran Duc Dung, Deputy Head of Da Lat Electricity Management Team, said that the connection transfer work was carefully prepared by the unit with full technical plans, temporary power supply plans and coordination with the construction unit to ensure progress; at the same time, ensuring absolute safety for people and vehicles.

Mr. Nguyen Van Tri, Director of Da Lat Electricity, said: The underground power cable system program has actually been implemented since 2003. This is a long-term step, showing the strategic vision of the Electricity industry in protecting the landscape and urban safety.
Not only stopping at the low-voltage line system, since 2020, Da Lat Electricity has built a 4.7km long 22kV underground medium voltage transmission line, extending from Da Lat 1 station, starting from Khe Sanh street through Pham Hong Thai, Anh Sang, Nguyen Van Cu to Hoang Van Thu. This line shares the load, ensuring stable power supply for the central area and neighboring areas such as Van Thanh, Ta Nung.
These projects have laid the foundation for the acceleration phase from 2025, when many major routes will begin to be expanded synchronously with underground technical infrastructure systems.

In 2025 alone, Da Lat Electricity has implemented many large-scale projects, demonstrating the industry's determination, such as: Bui Thi Xuan Line, relocating 1,798m of medium-voltage underground cable, newly constructing 3,675m of low-voltage underground cable; Phu Dong Thien Vuong Line, relocating 821m of 22kV medium-voltage underground cable, newly constructing 1,883m of low-voltage underground cable; Hoang Van Thu Line, relocating 1,467m of 22kV medium-voltage underground cable, newly constructing 851m of 22kV medium-voltage underground cable, newly constructing 2,263m of low-voltage underground cable.
According to Mr. Nguyen Van Tri, along with technical efficiency, the underground central streets have significantly reduced the risk of insecurity when storms, traffic collisions, or power pole collapses occur.
The underground cable system operates stably, minimizing damage caused by weather impacts. Not only that, removing the tangled bundles of wires that used to be the "nightmare" of old urban areas helps Da Lat streets become airy, clean and beautiful, true to the image of the "city of flowers".
This activity also aims to concretize the goal of Lam Dong province to synchronously implement technical infrastructure projects; in which undergrounding the power system plays a key role, contributing to the goal of building a green - civilized - modern urban area.

In fact, on Bui Thi Xuan, Phu Dong Thien Vuong or Hoang Van Thu routes, there is a clear change with a clear - clean - beautiful landscape, creating convenience for people, tourists and service business activities.
With a large amount of work, many important routes are being implemented in parallel, the Electricity industry is still striving to ensure progress, safety and efficiency. At the same time, close coordination between the electricity sector, construction units and local authorities helps the project to be implemented in the right direction.
Underground projects are not only technical work, but also demonstrate Da Lat's determination to build a modern, civilized and tourist- friendly city.
