Internal conflicts within Barcelona.

Barcelona's tumultuous season is entering a turbulent final stage, not only on the pitch but also behind the scenes.

Many Barcelona players are unhappy about not getting enough playing time.

On April 20th, Sport reported that the "Blaugrana" dressing room seemed to have become a "cauldron" with a rebellion from at least three players who felt they had been treated unfairly under coach Hansi Flick.

An unexpected problem

According to internal sources, the three players creating tension at Barca are Ferran Torres, Ansu Fati, and Hector Fort. Each has their own reasons for expressing dissatisfaction with the way they are treated and the opportunities they are given by coach Flick.

Once expected to inherit the legendary number 10 shirt, Fati couldn't hide his anger after not being brought on despite actively warming up in the second half of the match against Celta Vigo in round 32 of La Liga on April 19th. Witnessing his teammates struggling on the field, Fati vented his frustration by kicking a water bucket and throwing his training shirt to the ground right in front of the coaching staff.

The relationship between this young talent and coach Flick is said to have reached a breaking point. Fati feels he has been "given false promises" since the beginning of the season and cannot understand why he is constantly being overlooked, especially when he insists he is perfectly healthy and ready to contribute.

This situation puts agent Jorge Mendes in a difficult position in negotiations regarding Fati's future. A bitter parting of ways with Barca is entirely possible, adding further instability to an already challenging final few months of the season.

Hector Fort's case is somewhat different but no less noteworthy. The young defender, who has been given few opportunities this season, shocked everyone by refusing to shake hands with manager Flick after a team victory.

Fort's simmering anger stemmed from a feeling of being left out of Flick's tactical plans. Although the German coach always expressed joy after each victory, Fort seemed to lack his trust, leading to a rift in their relationship.

Barcelona anh 1

Ferran Torres has scored 17 goals this season.

Not only Fati, but Ferran Torres also lost his composure in the match against Celta Vigo when he was substituted despite having just scored and being one of Barca's most energetic attacking players on the field. Immediately after leaving the pitch, Torres ignored Flick's handshake and kicked a ball forcefully from the sideline.

Assistant coach Marcus Sorg had to intervene to calm the situation, but the former Man City player's anger only subsided after his team's dramatic comeback. However, the repercussions of this incident will undoubtedly linger in the dressing room.

Waiting for Flick to show off his skills.

With just over a month left in the season, manager Hansi Flick faces a significant challenge: maintaining stability in a dressing room showing signs of rebellion. These internal issues add considerable pressure to the German strategist.

However, Flick is reportedly not planning to change his stance on the starting lineup and rotation policy. In particular, with Robert Lewandowski potentially out for up to three weeks due to injury, Ferran Torres could become a crucial attacking player, forcing Flick to find a way to appease his protégé.

The current tense situation in the Barca dressing room raises serious questions about the team's unity during this crucial stage of the season. Can Flick quell this rebellion, or will the simmering conflicts continue to escalate, impacting Barcelona's ambitions?

The answer will likely be revealed in the upcoming matches, where the pressure to win and maintain internal stability will be paramount. Unhappy players will have to learn to adapt to the coach's decisions, or accept a future outside of Catalonia.
