On December 25th, in Ho Chi Minh City, the Vu A Dinh Scholarship Fund and the "For Our Beloved Hoang Sa - Truong Sa" Club held a press conference to introduce the art exchange program "Spring Journey to the Mountains and the Sea - 2024".

According to the organizers, this year's art exchange program will be broadcast live at 8:30 AM on December 28th on HTV9 - Ho Chi Minh City Television. This is not only an opportunity to summarize the 2024 activities of the Vu A Dinh Scholarship Fund and the "For the Beloved Hoang Sa - Truong Sa" Club, but also a chance to express gratitude and honor outstanding individuals and groups.

Ms. Truong My Hoa - former Vice President of Vietnam , Chairwoman of the Vu A Dinh Scholarship Fund, and Head of the "For the Beloved Hoang Sa and Truong Sa" Club - delivered a speech at the program.

In 2024, the Vu A Dinh Scholarship Fund and the "For the Beloved Hoang Sa - Truong Sa" Club organized many meaningful activities. These included a trip to the birthplace of hero Vu A Dinh, awarding scholarships to students in Tuan Giao district ( Dien Bien province ), organizing a football tournament for ethnic minority students; organizing a delegation to visit the military and civilians on Truong Sa island district and the DK1 platform; visiting and extending New Year greetings to officers and soldiers on Con Co and Ly Son islands; and visiting the military and civilians on the southwestern islands.

Furthermore, the programs "15 Years of the Vu A Dinh Award - Honoring the Flowers of the Village" and "Lighting Up Dreams" have recognized and spread profound humanitarian values, affirming the Fund's commitment to supporting dreams and helping them reach further.

The Vu A Dinh Scholarship Fund and the "For Our Beloved Hoang Sa - Truong Sa" Club signed sponsorship agreements with individuals and organizations.

The Vu A Dinh Scholarship Fund has also directly awarded more than 5,000 Vu A Dinh scholarships to ethnic minority students and students from coastal and island areas across the country. In-depth investment projects such as "Nurturing Future Generations," "Giving Wings to Dreams," "Opening the Path to the Future," "Lighting Up the Future," and "Supporting Students" continue to receive support from organizations, individuals, and businesses.

At the end of the 2023-2024 school year, students participating in the projects achieved many outstanding results. In the "Nurturing Future Generations" project, 237 students achieved excellent grades. In the "Wings of Dreams" project, 40 students achieved excellent grades. In the "Opening the Path to the Future" project, 36 students achieved excellent and good grades. 35 students in the "Supporting Students" project achieved excellent academic results.

Also within the framework of the press conference, the Vu A Dinh Scholarship Fund and the "For the Beloved Hoang Sa - Truong Sa" Club signed agreements with 14 organizations and 19 individuals, with a total sponsorship amount of over 52.7 billion VND for 4 projects investing in building young human resources for ethnic minority areas, coastal and island regions, and regular activities.

Ms. Truong My Hoa - former Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, former Vice President of Vietnam, President of the Vu A Dinh Scholarship Fund, and Head of the "For the Beloved Hoang Sa and Truong Sa" Club - shared: "The students who have benefited from the Vu A Dinh Scholarship Fund, although they do not receive further material support after graduation, are always closely monitored and cared for by the Fund. Members of the fund's executive board regularly follow up with them and offer advice when they encounter difficulties in life and work."

According to Ms. Truong My Hoa, generally speaking, after returning to their localities, most of the young people are assigned suitable jobs, especially the girls who have received university education, because the localities are in great need of young, qualified human resources.

"In particular, many students who previously received scholarships have returned to extend their loving support, continuing to contribute to and assist younger generations, creating a strong ripple effect in the community," said Ms. Truong My Hoa.
