- Over the past period, the Fatherland Front system at all levels in the province has promptly grasped the thoughts and aspirations of the people, gathered legitimate opinions and recommendations through various forms, and forwarded them to relevant levels and sectors for consideration and resolution, contributing to creating social consensus and maintaining political security and social order in the area.
In Tan Tien commune, which has 24 villages, with over 1,400 households and more than 6,400 inhabitants, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the commune and the front work committees in residential areas have actively monitored the situation among the people, promptly compiling their suggestions and forwarding them to relevant agencies for consideration.

Mr. Hoang Van Hao, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Tan Tien commune, said: In the first six months of 2026, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the commune coordinated with the Fatherland Front working committees in residential areas to compile 123 opinions and recommendations from people (through meetings between commune People's Council representatives and voters) related to land procedures, infrastructure, rural transportation; natural resources and environment… At the same time, through the implementation of campaigns and movements directed towards residential areas, from the beginning of the year until now, the Fatherland Front of the commune has received many recommendations from people regarding policies for those who participated in the civilian labor force during wartime (there are nearly 140 people in the entire commune). The Fatherland Front of the commune has compiled and categorized these opinions and recommendations and forwarded them to relevant agencies for consideration and resolution according to their authority.
Recently, on June 18, 2026, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Bac Son commune implemented the "Month of Listening to the People," receiving 20 opinions and suggestions from the people, covering 40 issues in various fields. Mr. Le Duy Mau, from Le Hong Phong village, Bac Son commune, said: "At the meeting, I and many other people expressed our opinions on the policy of merging villages. We all agree and strongly support this policy, while also raising concerns about the adjustment of people's documents after the merger; and the management and use of cultural houses built with contributions from the people in the old villages. The opinions were received and addressed by the Party Committee and People's Committee of the commune at the meeting, and relevant departments were assigned to research and advise on solutions in the near future."
According to our findings, the Fatherland Front system in the province has implemented various forms and models to gather and fully reflect the opinions and suggestions of the people to all levels and sectors. Besides through conferences, gathering people's opinions is also carried out through activities directed towards the grassroots, residential areas, direct meetings with people, or through social monitoring and criticism activities…
Mr. Hoang Anh Tuan, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Lang Son province, said: Alongside traditional methods, the Fatherland Front at all levels has recently implemented new models and applied digital transformation to expand channels for receiving people's opinions. For example, starting from the end of May 2026, the provincial Fatherland Front implemented the "Month of Listening to the People," and to date, the entire province has organized 22 conferences. The Fatherland Front at all levels has also effectively maintained 183 suggestion boxes under the theme "Listening to the People's Opinions on Building the Party and Government," and digital platforms such as "Digital Fatherland Front," Zalo OA "Digital Fatherland Front of Lang Son," etc.
As a result, in the first six months of 2026, the Fatherland Front of the province compiled nearly 2,200 opinions and recommendations from the people related to many fields. These opinions were classified by the Fatherland Front at all levels and forwarded to the relevant levels, sectors, agencies, and units for resolution according to their authority.
Regarding social monitoring and criticism, since the beginning of the year, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province and its wards have organized social criticism sessions on 23 draft documents of the local government, receiving 290 comments from various segments of the population. These comments have been well-received and appreciated by the drafting agencies, becoming an important and necessary information channel to help Party committees and authorities consider and issue policies and make decisions on important local issues.
Not only does the Fatherland Front system gather crucial information to forward to relevant levels and sectors for resolution, but it has also promptly addressed many issues at the grassroots level. For example, since the beginning of the year, through information gathering, the Fatherland Front's grassroots officials have directly participated in mediation, successfully resolving 663 out of 928 community conflicts. This has contributed to maintaining security and order and reducing complaints among the people.
It can be affirmed that the Fatherland Front system in the area has been and is implementing many innovative methods in receiving information, opinions, and suggestions from the people to report to relevant authorities. This effectively demonstrates its function of representing and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of the people; while also promoting its core political role in gathering and consolidating national unity in the area.
