According to statistics from the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Trieu Son district, due to heavy rain, the district recently flooded 76,5 hectares of spring rice. In which, 51 hectares are flooded with white and 25,5 hectares are flooded with cotton.
People in Hop Ly commune actively follow the fields after the water recedes.
Some communes in the district have large flooded rice areas such as: Tho Cuong, Hop Ly, Tho Ngoc, Xuan Tho.
After the water receded, the people of Hop Ly commune (Trieu Son) mobilized machines to harvest the flooded rice area.
Particularly, Dong Thanh village (Hop Ly commune) suffered the most damage with 27 hectares of rice being deeply submerged in water. Among them, 15 hectares were lost, 12 hectares were flooded by 30-70%.
Due to being submerged in water for a long time, many rice areas have germinated.
Most of the rice area in Hop Ly commune is in the greening stage, with some plots starting to ripen and be able to be harvested. After the water receded, many households in the commune actively rented harvesters to harvest early with the motto "greener house than old field".
