In Rieng Village, 7 poor households and 2 near-poor households received support for house repair and construction under the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses. During the implementation of the program, Ms. Kpa Pheo spent time visiting each household to monitor the construction progress.

She said: "Initially, many households were hesitant and unwilling to contribute because they lacked the money. I had to go to each house to explain and encourage them. As a result, 8 out of 9 households participated in contributing to make their houses more spacious and comfortable. For households unable to contribute, the local authorities mobilized labor to help, and also appealed to businesses to provide an additional 10 million VND."

Mrs. Kpă Grang's family is one of the households that received support for house construction. Along with the government's support (60 million VND), her family contributed an additional 40 million VND. The house, consisting of a living room and a bedroom, is now a safe haven for her and her daughter's family. "From now on, we no longer have to worry when it rains or storms," Mrs. Grang said emotionally.

Every day, Ms. Pheo regularly visits each household to listen to the thoughts and aspirations of the people. Based on that, she advises and proposes to the local Party committee and government models suitable to the actual conditions. As a result, many poor and near-poor households have received support in the form of breeding cows, guidance on changing crops and livestock, or employment as workers in businesses.

Rieng Village has 441 hectares of agricultural land, including 273 hectares of coffee, 80 hectares of pepper, 70 hectares of rubber, and 18 hectares of cashew nuts; the total livestock population is over 1,200 animals. Thanks to the attention of the State and the efforts of the people, the number of poor households has decreased from 82 households (in 2020) to 25 households.

In 2024, Rơ Châm Chuếch's family received support in the form of one cow. He himself was given the opportunity to work as a laborer at Trường Hải Group Joint Stock Company with an income of 6 million VND per month. “My family has 3 sao (approximately 0.3 hectares) of land for rice cultivation. Now I work as a laborer, my wife stays at home to grow rice, raise cows, and take care of our two young children. I try my best to work hard for a better future,” Chuếch shared.

Before assuming the position of Party Branch Secretary (in 2016) and then being elected Village Head (in 2020), Ms. Pheo spent many years as the President of the Women's Union of Ia Boong Commune. Her practical experience from grassroots movements helps her to always be flexible and creative in propaganda and mobilization.

Thanks to her leadership, the people of Rieng village have increasingly responded strongly to patriotic emulation movements, studying and following Uncle Ho's teachings, maintaining environmental hygiene, and building new rural areas. To date, 98% of households have fenced their gardens, 95% of households have renovated their neglected gardens, and 100% of livestock farming households have solid barns.

To contribute to preserving and promoting the cultural identity of the ethnic group, at the beginning of 2024, Ms. Pheo spearheaded the establishment of a women's gong club in the village with 30 members. This is also the first women's gong club in Chu Prong district. Despite being newly established, the club has participated in performances at many major events such as: the 4th Congress of Ethnic Minorities of Chu Prong District - 2024, and the 70th anniversary of the founding of the District Party Committee (September 15, 1954 - September 15, 2024).

For her contributions, at the conference summarizing 10 years of implementing Directive No. 05-CT/TW dated May 15, 2016, of the XII Political Bureau on promoting the study and emulation of Ho Chi Minh's thought, morality, and style, Ms. Kpă Pheo was one of 17 individuals honored with a certificate of commendation from the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee for outstanding and exemplary achievements in studying and following President Ho Chi Minh's teachings.

Speaking to reporters, Mr. Nguyen Huu Thanh, Secretary of the Party Committee of Ia Boong commune, commented: "Comrade Kpa Pheo is a dedicated, responsible, and approachable person who is always trusted and loved by the people. His exemplary spirit and attentiveness have created a positive ripple effect in the community."
