Outstanding female worker

In the exciting competitive atmosphere of this year's Workers' Month, the joy for Ms. Nguyen Thu Thanh (born in 1985), Head of Screening Team 3, Screening and Consumption Construction Site, Cao Son Coal Joint Stock Company

-   TKV, became even more meaningful when she was honored by the Provincial Labor Federation as one of the 50 outstanding advanced workers at the provincial level. As one of the few female workers honored on this occasion, Ms. Thanh is a vivid testament to the spirit of perseverance, creativity and dedication of female workers in the Coal industry.

Born and raised in the Cam Pha mining area, since childhood, Ms. Nguyen Thu Thanh has been familiar with the image of a hard-working, unafraid of hardships and difficulties of a resilient miner, especially the image of her father with a face and hands covered in coal dust but his eyes always shining with pride after each shift of work. Her love for the coal industry grew so that when she grew up, she chose to follow her father's path, sticking with the coal screening profession.

Nearly 15 years of hard work amidst the loud sounds of the screening machine, coal dust and sweat, Ms. Thanh has forged for herself a persistent working spirit, a deep love for the profession and the steadfast character of a coal industry worker.

As the Head of Screening Team 3, managing 20 workers, mostly women, she is not only a production manager, but also a responsible sister and companion who always cares and shares with each member of the team both in work and in daily life. Working in the coal industry in general or screening work in particular is inherently dry, hard and tiring for women, but under the leadership of Ms. Thanh, Screening Team 3 is always united, enthusiastic in competing, and excellently completing assigned tasks.

In 2024, the screening output of Screening Team 3 reached 659,222.99 tons, reaching 105.86% of the annual plan. Along with performing well the task of screening all types of raw coal, from bran 3 to bran 7 according to consumption requirements, the team also actively collects lump coal, contributing significantly to the overall production efficiency of the Company. In particular, on rainy and windy days, the image of the sisters of Screening Team 3 proactively participating in covering the coal with tarpaulins, or spraying water to suppress dust   When operating the screen to keep the working environment clean and dust-free has become a beautiful, responsible image at the construction site.

As a dynamic and creative Party member and Team Leader, Ms. Thanh is always exemplary and a pioneer in the scientific research movement, promoting technical innovation initiatives. For 3 consecutive years from 2022-2024, she has had initiatives that have been effectively applied, contributing to reducing material costs, increasing productivity, work efficiency and ensuring labor safety.   Notable initiatives include:   "Proposing a solution to process the working floor at the open-sludge bunker position of the sieve system 3"; "Proposing a solution to change the SQC-62B sieve head bearing (sieve 3) into a 2-halve bearing that is convenient for disassembly and repair"; "Proposing a solution to process a rubber shield to create an anti-abrasion plate, reducing impact at the SQC-62B sieve bunker"...

Not stopping there, in 2024, Ms. Thanh and Screening Team 3 also participated in 2 difficult projects: "Renovating the 3rd screen feed face cluster" and "Improving and reinstalling the vibrating screen cluster", thereby helping the construction site in general and Screening Team 3 in particular to produce more effectively.

For Ms. Nguyen Thu Thanh, working and contributing to the Team and the Company is not only a responsibility but also a joy, encouraging her to always try her best every day. Ms. Thanh shared: Every morning when I step into the construction site, what I look forward to most is that my colleagues in the team produce effectively and safely. That is also the motivation for my colleagues to be more united and stick together to overcome daily hardships, constantly strive, and contribute more to the development of the Cao Son Coal common home.

With her constant efforts and hard work, every year, Ms. Nguyen Thu Thanh has excellently completed all assigned tasks. For 3 consecutive years from 2022-2024, Ms. Thanh has achieved the title of "Emulation Fighter" at the grassroots level and in 2023, she has achieved the title of "Emulation Fighter" at the TKV level. Among the countless workers who are working hard in the Northeast coal region, Ms. Nguyen Thu Thanh's example of hard work is still persistent and creative every day, not only inspiring the younger generation of workers but also contributing to beautifying the beautiful image of women in the coal industry in the new era.
