Dynamic 8X female village chief

Ms. Le Thi Nha Phuong (born in 1987), Head of Vinh Hamlet, An Co Commune, Chau Thanh District, is a responsible, enthusiastic and dynamic person at work. She takes care of her family and excellently completes her assigned tasks, and is trusted by the local people.

After graduating from high school, Ms. Phuong participated in social work in the locality. Being an active and dynamic girl, no matter what position she held, she was exemplary and took the lead in all work. In 2023, she was honored to be admitted to the Party. In 2024, she was assigned to be Deputy Secretary of the Party Cell and Head of Vinh Hamlet until now.

Ms. Le Thi Nha Phuong shared: “I am a young woman with little experience in social work. When I was elected as the hamlet chief by the people, I was very worried, especially about accessing new policies and implementing grassroots democracy regulations. Not wanting to disappoint everyone's expectations, I strive to study and learn every day to improve myself, hoping to contribute my youth to building my homeland.”

As soon as she received the assignment, Ms. Phuong immediately started collecting information and data on the economic , social and cultural situation of the hamlet. She also took the opportunity to meet with veteran revolutionary cadres and experienced predecessors to learn more, and then apply it to the assigned work.

Following the direction of the Party Committee and the People's Committee of the commune on the implementation of new rural construction, Ms. Phuong coordinated with the Party cell and the Front Committee, and hamlet mass organizations to mobilize many households to join hands in donating land to implement the plan to concretize village roads and alleys according to the motto "The State and the People work together". She organized meetings with people in the hamlet to discuss and promptly resolve everyone's problems. Taking advantage of her free time, she went to each household to mobilize and explain to people so that they could understand. As a result, 21 households in the hamlet voluntarily demolished fences and crops, clearing the land for rural roads.

Ms. Le Thi Nha Phuong visited and gave gifts to households in difficult circumstances.

“During the campaign, I always put myself in the shoes of the people, putting their interests first. I am always close and friendly so that people can confide in me and express their pressing issues, thereby understanding their thoughts and wishes to provide timely support,” Ms. Phuong confided.

Recognizing the important role of applying information technology in propaganda work, the Head of Vinh Hamlet established a propaganda group through the social network Zalo. She actively made videos to propagate laws, information about new policies and guidelines, set good examples of good people and good deeds; designed many video clips to guide people in using the utilities of the VNeID application.

Not only is she active in propaganda and mobilization work, Ms. Phuong also always cares about and helps those in difficult circumstances in the locality. Although she has not been the hamlet chief for long, she has mobilized benefactors to support 5 health insurance cards for people in difficult circumstances; mobilized to give more than 300 gifts to policy families, Agent Orange victims, and disadvantaged households in the hamlet on the occasion of Lunar New Year, each gift worth 300,000 VND.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Mai, resident of Vinh Hamlet, said: “Knowing the difficult circumstances of the family, Ms. Phuong often visits, encourages and mobilizes benefactors to support rice, noodles, and household items to help the family. I am extremely grateful.”

According to Mr. Truong Van Nhanh, Head of Self-Management Group No. 23, Vinh Hamlet, when Ms. Phuong first became the hamlet chief, some people were still hesitant and skeptical about a relatively young hamlet chief. However, after a period of contact and work, all activities in the hamlet went smoothly, from which everyone gradually understood and trusted the female hamlet chief.

Although social work takes up a lot of time, Ms. Le Thi Nha Phuong still tries to arrange her work reasonably to take care of her children and build a happy family. Her family was awarded the title of exemplary cultural family by the People's Committee of Chau Thanh district for the period 2017-2022.
