The current average population is 161,212 people, with 18 ethnic groups living together. Of these, 85 out of 183 villages and residential areas are inhabited by ethnic minorities, mainly long-established ethnic groups such as the Co Ho, Ma, Hoa, Nung, Chu Ru, San Diu, Ra Glai, Tay, and Muong. Among the ethnic minorities living in Di Linh, the Co Ho people constitute the majority, with 56,573 people, accounting for 35.1% of the population. This creates a rich and diverse cultural identity, especially the culture of the Central Highlands, such as gong music, brocade weaving, and other ethnic cultural festivals.
Di Linh District has 1 town and 18 communes. In particular, in Dinh Trang Hoa commune, there is a very special production cooperative of 6 Co Ho ethnic minority women – cultivating and processing clean coffee products, led by Ms. Ka Njan Lum.
On March 12, 2022, Dinh Trang Hoa commune issued a decision to establish the Oh Mi Co Ho Coffee Cooperative. Since then, the cooperative model has attracted many farmers from the locality and other provinces who want to learn more about it, especially those who wish to experience the unique "brotherly love" flavor of this coffee.
