DTO - On March 31, in Cao Lanh City, Mr. Nguyen Van Vu Minh - Provincial Party Committee member, Director of the Department of Home Affairs; Ms. Nguyen Thi Minh Tuyet - Deputy Director of the Department of Home Affairs; representatives of the leaders of Tam Nong District People's Committee, Provincial Youth Union, Provincial Women's Union welcomed the working delegation of Yeoncheon District, Gyeonggy Province, Korea led by Mr. Kim Deog Hyun - Chairman of Yeoncheon District; Ms. Bae Doo Young - District Council and representatives of the Department of Agricultural Policy, Central Association of Agricultural Cooperatives of the district to Dong Thap province to meet 94 workers preparing to go to Korea to work.

In the warm and friendly atmosphere of the meeting, Mr. Kim Deog Hyun - Chairman of Yeoncheon district highly appreciated the warm and solemn welcome and thanked the leaders of Dong Thap province, the Department of Home Affairs, the Employment Service Center, the sectors and units that coordinated in selecting and sending workers to Yeoncheon district to work. Yeoncheon district mainly receives seasonal workers to work on specialty crops and flowers such as ginseng, cucumbers, cabbage, chili peppers, etc. In 2025, it is expected to receive a total of 372 seasonal workers, including 225 workers from Dong Thap. With the increasingly positive response from Korean farmers, it is expected to receive about 500 workers in the next 3 years.
At the meeting, delegates and workers watched a video clip introducing working and resting conditions when going to Korea for seasonal work. Individuals who have worked in Korea shared their experiences, learning and training processes, and after their contracts expired, they confidently returned home to apply the knowledge they learned to local agricultural production.
Representatives of the Department of Home Affairs, Yeoncheon District , Tam Nong District People's Committee, and socio-political organizations presented gifts and took souvenir photos with 94 workers going to Korea to work.
The program of sending seasonal workers to Yeoncheon district to work, implemented by Gyeonggye province and Dong Thap province since 2022, has brought positive results. Through the cooperation between the Gyeonggye provincial government and Dong Thap province, workers are sent to Korea to work with many advantages and high incomes by the Employment Service Center (under the Department of Home Affairs). At the same time, they always receive attention and support from local leaders and farmers, ensuring preferential policies, benefits and learning many working styles and modern agricultural techniques of Korean people to apply in their homeland, the Land of Pink Lotus.
