On the evening of April 25th, a rehearsal for the parade commemorating the 50th anniversary of national reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025) was held on Le Duan Street, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City.
Attending the event were members of the Politburo: Mr. Nguyen Trong Nghia, Secretary of the Central Committee of the Party, Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department; General Phan Van Giang, Minister of National Defense ; and Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Nguyen Van Nen.
Attending the parade rehearsal were Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh; General Nguyen Tan Cuong, Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army and Deputy Minister of National Defense; Lieutenant General Trinh Van Quyet, Head of the General Political Department; Lieutenant General Tran Quoc To, Deputy Minister of Public Security ; and leaders from many ministries, armed forces, leaders of Ho Chi Minh City, and a large number of citizens.

In his concluding remarks, Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department Nguyen Trong Nghia commended the efforts of the agencies, units, and forces in conducting the rehearsal, aiming to ensure the best possible results for the 50th anniversary of national reunification.
Mr. Nguyen Trong Nghia requested that each agency and unit seriously learn from the issues pointed out regarding the program's timeframe, the content of delegate introductions, international delegations, attire, and commentary…
Agencies and units continue to encourage officers, soldiers, forces, and youth union members to uphold their determination and strive to successfully complete their tasks during the state-level general rehearsal on the morning of April 27 and the commemoration ceremony on April 30.
At 7 AM tomorrow, April 27th, the general rehearsal for the April 30th state parade will take place on Le Duan Street.

Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Nguyen Van Duoc attended the rehearsal for the parade. Sitting next to him was General Nguyen Tan Cuong, Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army.

Mr. Nguyen Minh Triet, Secretary of the Central Committee of the Youth Union and President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Student Association, attended the rehearsal. On the same day, Mr. Nguyen Minh Triet and the delegation visited and encouraged the children, youth, and police forces participating in the parade and march commemorating the 50th anniversary of national reunification.

The rehearsal for the parade and march took place from 8 PM to 11 PM. More than 10,000 people from the military, police, militia, and representatives of various sectors of the population participated in the rehearsal.

From the afternoon of April 25th, tens of thousands of people gathered on Le Duan Street and surrounding areas to watch the rehearsal. Around 6:30 PM, a sudden rain shower broke out and stopped after a few dozen minutes.

Following tonight's rehearsal, the national-level dress rehearsal is scheduled to take place this morning, April 27th (from 7:00 AM to 12:00 PM).

The official parade and march took place at 6:30 AM on April 30th, along Le Duan Street, in front of the Independence Palace. The photo shows a contingent of male police officers.

Afterward, the groups split into four directions and moved towards their assembly points at Tao Dan Park, Bach Dang Wharf Park, Hoa Lu Stadium, and Le Van Tam Park, all in District 1.

The routes the convoy traveled were all equipped with large LED screens, making it easy for people to follow the event. The photo shows a contingent of liberation fighters.
