On the evening of April 25, a rehearsal of the parade to celebrate the 50th anniversary of national reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025) was held on Le Duan Street, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City.
Attending the event were Politburo members: Mr. Nguyen Trong Nghia, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Propaganda and Education Commission; General Phan Van Giang, Minister of National Defense ; Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Nguyen Van Nen.
Also attending the parade rehearsal were Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh; General Nguyen Tan Cuong, Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army, Deputy Minister of National Defense; Senior Lieutenant General Trinh Van Quyet, Director of the General Department of Politics; Senior Lieutenant General Tran Quoc To, Deputy Minister of Public Security and leaders of many ministries, branches, armed forces, leaders of Ho Chi Minh City and many people.
Mr. Nguyen Trong Nghia, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission attended the parade rehearsal.

Speaking at the event, Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission Nguyen Trong Nghia praised the efforts of agencies, units and forces in conducting the preliminary review to ensure the best results in the celebration of the 50th anniversary of national reunification.
Mr. Nguyen Trong Nghia requested that each agency and unit seriously learn from the issues pointed out regarding the ceremony program time frame, content of introducing delegates, international delegations, costumes, explanations, etc.
Agencies and units continue to encourage cadres, soldiers, forces, union members and youth to uphold their determination, strive and complete their tasks well in the state-level rehearsal on the morning of April 27 and the celebration on April 30.

Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Nguyen Van Duoc attended the preliminary rehearsal of the parade. Sitting next to him was General Nguyen Tan Cuong, Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army.

Mr. Nguyen Minh Triet, Secretary of the Central Youth Union, President of the Central Vietnam Student Association attended the preliminary rehearsal. On the same day, Mr. Nguyen Minh Triet and the delegation visited and encouraged the children, youth, army and police forces to participate in the parade on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the country's reunification.

The parade rehearsal took place from 8-11pm. More than 10,000 people from the military, police, militia and people's representatives participated in the rehearsal.

Since the afternoon of April 25, tens of thousands of people have been present on Le Duan Street and neighboring streets to wait to watch the preliminary rehearsal. At more than 6:30 p.m., the rain suddenly poured down and stopped after a few dozen minutes.

After the preliminary rehearsal tonight, the State-level rehearsal is scheduled to take place on the morning of April 27 (from 7am to 12pm).

The blocks then split into four directions and moved to the assembly locations at Tao Dan Park, Bach Dang Wharf Park, Hoa Lu Stadium and Le Van Tam Park, all in District 1.
