Salah's future is uncertain.

Michael Owen has offered a candid opinion on the incident rocking Liverpool: Mohamed Salah's emotional outburst after the 3-3 draw against Leeds. According to the former England striker, Salah has every right to be disappointed but should not have chosen to publicly confront the club and manager Arne Slot.

Salah caused a shock when he declared he had "no relationship" with Slot and felt he had been "thrown under the bus" after being benched for three consecutive games. At Elland Road, Salah was not used despite Liverpool struggling and conceding an equalizer in the 96th minute.

“I can’t believe I was on the bench for 90 minutes. For the first time in my career,” Salah said, before emphasizing that the club had broken its promises to him last summer.

On social media, Owen expressed sympathy but argued that Salah should have "gritted his teeth and endured" at such a sensitive time. "He's carried the team for years and won every title. But this is a team sport , you can't say things like that," Owen wrote. He advised Salah to focus on the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations and then come back to assess the situation.

The situation has further fueled tensions, especially considering Liverpool have only won 4 of their last 15 matches. Slot faces immense pressure ahead of two games against Inter Milan and Brighton next week, while Salah's future is more uncertain than ever.
