The French national team held a training session in preparation for their match against Iraq, aiming to secure three more points and move closer to the knockout stage. Kylian Mbappé and his teammates entered the training session in a relaxed mood after their 3-1 victory over Senegal. The striker also relieved some of the pressure after scoring two goals in the opening match.
Central defender William Saliba believes Iraq will play aggressively to keep their hopes of advancing alive. He believes France needs to prepare well physically because their opponent will use a 4-4-2 formation and the match promises to have many challenges. In their first match, Iraq lost 1-4 to Norway and are under considerable pressure ahead of their clash with one of the title contenders.
