Previously, through intelligence gathering, the No. 1 Waterway Police Team discovered several individuals suspected of engaging in illegal sand mining activities on the Krông Bông River (the section passing through Hamlet 8, Krông Bông Commune).
After a period of intensive monitoring, at approximately 8:10 AM on September 15th, the team caught Pham Van H. (39 years old, residing in Hamlet 8, Krong Bong Commune) in the act of illegally extracting sand. At the time of inspection, H. could not present any documents, invoices, or certificates related to sand extraction.

During questioning, H. confessed that the sand storage area belonged to Le Tri C. (46 years old, residing in the same village). H. was the one who bought the sand and was instructed by C. to go to the site to scoop it up and transport it for resale to households in need.
During questioning, C. admitted to regularly using a homemade iron-hulled boat with an engine to extract sand and stockpile it in the area before selling it to those in need. The sand stockpiling site was not licensed, and C. himself did not have a license to operate in mineral extraction.
The No. 1 Water Police Team has now transferred the case file and related evidence to the Krông Bông Commune Police for handling according to their jurisdiction.
