The Hung Kings Temple historical site, located on Nghia Linh Mountain in Phu Tho Province, is a sacred spiritual architectural complex associated with the Hung Kings worship – a representative intangible cultural heritage of humanity. It is not only a place to commemorate the Hung Kings but also a famous tourist destination, attracting millions of visitors every year. On the occasion of the Hung Kings' Commemoration Day (the 10th day of the 3rd lunar month), thousands of Vietnamese people return here to offer incense, pay respects to their ancestors, and admire the important historical relics of the nation.
The Hung Kings Commemoration Day and the 2025 Ancestral Land Culture and Tourism Week will take place from March 29th to April 7th, featuring numerous unique festivals and cultural and sporting activities. Notably, the organizers have decided to continue offering night tours of Hung Temple.
With its diverse and colorful tourism potential, and cultural values recognized by UNESCO, Phu Tho has become a destination rooted in the Vietnamese nation, focusing on tourism products such as spiritual and cultural tourism, resort tourism, entertainment, and community-based ecotourism. Not stopping at attracting tourists during the Hung Kings' Commemoration Day, Phu Tho is aiming to become a year-round destination, linking spiritual tourism with cultural, ecological, and festival experiences, contributing to the promotion of heritage values and elevating the tourism brand of the ancestral land.
