In fulfilling its functions and duties, the Fatherland Front Committee and mass organizations in the province are focusing strongly on the grassroots level and residential areas, using social criticism to promote the voice of the people from the grassroots.

Strengthen supervision

Supervision and social feedback play a crucial role in helping the Vietnam Fatherland Front and other organizations better fulfill their representative functions, acting as a core force for the people to take ownership. Mr. Truong Hoai Khanh, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Vinh Thong ward and Secretary of the Vinh Thong Ward Youth Union, stated that since implementing the two-tiered local government model linked to socio -economic development, the ward's Fatherland Front has strengthened supervision and promptly addressed difficulties when people come to carry out administrative procedures. “The digital literacy campaign has facilitated people's access to online public services, yielding positive results. The Youth Volunteer Team, with 15 members, along with 18 members of the neighborhood Fatherland Front working committee, plays a core role as a bridge in implementing supervision and social feedback, contributing to building people's trust in accompanying the digital transformation associated with the two-tiered local government model,” Mr. Truong Hoai Khanh emphasized.

Mr. Tran Hai Dang, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Binh An commune and Chairman of the Farmers' Association of Binh An commune, affirmed that in the past, the commune's Party Committee and government have coordinated in carrying out supervision and social criticism activities; selecting "hot" issues related to people's lives and matters of public concern such as the environment and health... "In understanding public opinion, the Fatherland Front and mass organizations have used many methods to help people understand the purpose, meaning, rights, and responsibilities, and to agree with and support the policies of the Party and the State. Thanks to this, Party members, union members, association members, and the people actively respond to activities launched by the locality; stable thinking and trust in the socio-economic development policies of the locality is the initial success in supervision and social criticism work," Mr. Tran Hai Dang shared.

Enhancing the effectiveness of critical feedback.

Mr. Nguyen Minh Dang, residing in Sua Dua hamlet, Binh An commune, expressed his satisfaction with the administrative procedures related to land at the commune's People's Committee. Previously, he was quite confused about the procedures, but thanks to the thoughtful reception and dedicated service of the commune's Public Administrative Service Center staff, he completed the process quickly. "The commune has a team of highly qualified and professional staff who support and assist us when we don't understand the information or related documents, and they provide specific appointment schedules… all of which have brought satisfaction to the people," said Mr. Minh Dang.

Similarly, Ms. Thi Duong, residing in Ta Keo Ngon neighborhood, Vinh Thong ward, expressed: “At first, I was quite worried because I wasn't familiar with online procedures. But after receiving an automatic queue number, I was guided to fill in the information online. Because I had never done online procedures before and hadn't logged into VNeID, I didn't know the password. The volunteers took quite a while to assist, but they were very proactive and had a good service attitude.” According to Ms. Thi Duong, in addition to their courteous attitude towards citizens, the Vinh Thong Ward Public Administrative Service Center uses nameplates to clearly indicate the service area and the phone number of the consultant who handles the procedures. After completing the procedures, Ms. Duong took a picture of the nameplate so she could call for advice if needed. This reassured her and made her feel the closeness of the officials and civil servants to the people.

According to Mr. Truong Hoai Khanh, the Fatherland Front and mass organizations of the ward are united in their goal of "a government that is close to the people, open, listens, provides transparent and effective public services, and creates conditions for people to participate in social management." In this, youth are the core force in realizing this goal, through guiding people in using online public services and forming community digital technology groups. "Going forward, along with implementing the goals of the ward Party Congress resolution, the ward Fatherland Front will work alongside the people in installing street lighting systems; building and repairing bridges; supporting those in difficult circumstances, helping children continue their education… promoting the strength of national unity," Mr. Hoai Khanh stated.

In Binh An commune, Mr. Hai Dang stated: “The grassroots People's Inspection Committee is determined to effectively fulfill its role, functions, and duties in coordinating with relevant agencies to supervise and inspect public welfare projects, and resolve complaints and denunciations from citizens. In particular, it participates in supervising the construction of solidarity houses for poor households; mediates and resolves disputes among the people, preventing complaints and lawsuits from escalating to higher levels.” Furthermore, the Fatherland Front of the commune will review economic models, guide people to create distinctive and new products based on the local potential, and work alongside the people in economic development and social stability.

Social criticism work has empowered the voice of the people, fostered consensus, strengthened people's trust in the Party and the State, and contributed to building an increasingly clean and strong political system.
