Promoting the tradition of solidarity and mutual assistance between Vietnam and Laos

Chuyến thăm cũng được thực hiện trong bối cảnh hai Đảng, hai nước đang tích cực triển khai thực hiện Nghị quyết Đại hội mỗi đảng đã đề ra, đồng thời chuẩn bị tốt đại hội các cấp tiến tới Đại hội lần thứ XIV của Đảng và Đại hội lần thứ XII của Đảng Nhân dân Cách mạng Lào.

Comrade Le Hoai Trung emphasized that this affirms the special importance that the two Parties and two countries attach to the great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos.

Reviewing the achievements in the Vietnam-Laos relationship in recent times, comrade Le Hoai Trung stated that political trust and mutual understanding between the two countries have been enhanced through visits and exchanges of high-level delegations in many flexible forms, as well as through discussions on strategic issues. Political relations play a core role, guiding the overall relationship between the two countries.

Theo đồng chí Lê Hoài Trung, hợp tác quốc phòng-an ninh được coi là trụ cột quan trọng trong quan hệ hai nước, tiếp tục được phát huy và triển khai hiệu quả. Hợp tác kinh tế cũng đạt được những kết quả tích cực. Hợp tác trong các lĩnh vực khoa học kỹ thuật, education, văn hóa đều phát triển.

The two countries also cooperate increasingly closely at multilateral forums and organizations. Vietnam supports and closely coordinates to help Laos successfully assume the role of ASEAN Chair in 2024.

Trong khuôn khổ chuyến thăm cấp Nhà nước đến Việt Nam của General Secretary, President Lào Thongloun Sisoulith và Phu nhân, lãnh đạo hai bên sẽ thông tin cho nhau về tình hình mỗi đảng, mỗi nước; trao đổi về tình hình khu vực và quốc tế cùng quan tâm, nhất là trong bối cảnh tình hình có nhiều diễn biến phức tạp, khó lường. Hai bên cũng sẽ đánh giá lại các kết quả hợp tác đã đạt được, đồng thời đề ra những phương hướng lớn cho hợp tác trong thời gian tới.

According to comrade Le Hoai Trung, within the framework of the visit, the Communist Party of Vietnam and the Lao People's Revolutionary Party will hold a High-level Meeting. These are all particularly important foreign affairs activities, contributing to enhancing understanding and political trust between the two parties and countries, and consolidating the relationship between the two General Secretaries, Presidents and senior leaders of the two sides.

The Head of the Party Central Committee's Commission for External Relations added that General Secretary and President of Laos Thongloun Sisoulith is expected to hold talks and meetings with senior Vietnamese leaders during the visit. General Secretary and President of Laos will meet with former volunteer soldiers, Vietnamese experts in Laos, and the young generation of Vietnam and Lao students studying in Vietnam; and visit and work in several localities of Vietnam.

Comrade Le Hoai Trung expressed his belief that the visit will contribute to further strengthening political trust between the two countries and providing directions and measures to improve the effectiveness of cooperation in many fields.

Với quyết tâm của hai Đảng, hai nước, những thành tựu đã thu được, cũng như các phương hướng hợp tác thời gian tới, quan hệ hữu nghị vĩ đại, đoàn kết đặc biệt và hợp tác toàn diện Việt Nam-Lào sẽ tiếp tục đạt được những thành quả quan trọng, đáp ứng lợi ích của người dân mỗi nước, vì hòa bình, ổn định, hợp tác và phát triển ở khu vực và trên world.
