The Closing Ceremony and Awards Presentation of the Hanoi International Film Festival - HANIFF VII will be broadcast live at 8:00 PM on November 11th on VTV2 channel.
The 7th Hanoi International Film Festival (HANIFF) is a cultural and artistic event that celebrates cinematic works of high artistic value, rich in humanistic themes, and marked by outstanding and unique creative contributions from both international and Vietnamese sources. The event provides an opportunity to discover and honor new talents in cinema; to showcase exceptional works from film industries around the world ; and to foster connections, exchanges, and cooperation for mutual development, creating opportunities to expand the Vietnamese film market and integrate it into the international film market.
With the slogan "Cinema: Creativity - Taking Flight," this year's film festival presented a diverse range of films with unique and creative styles, creating a vibrant, lively, and distinctive festival.
From over 500 films submitted, the 7th HANIFF Film Festival selected 117 feature films and short films from 51 countries and territories, including the USA, France, Sweden, Russia, Denmark, China, Japan, Vietnam, the Philippines, Chile, Colombia, Germany, India, South Korea, Spain, Switzerland, Iceland, Iran, Malaysia, Indonesia, Greece, Egypt... Of these, 65 were foreign films and 52 were Vietnamese films.
This year's Closing Ceremony and Awards Presentation drew inspiration from traditional folk art and culture intertwined with iconic modern architectural landmarks of Hanoi, creating a fresh, vibrant atmosphere befitting an international film festival where art and culture are celebrated and developed. The main imagery exuded a profound East Asian spirit, deeply rooted in Vietnamese tradition while also reflecting the elegant and refined aesthetics of Hanoi.
