Beginning with a child-swapping plot, "Love's Net" not only tells the story of a complicated love triangle, but also unfolds a broader picture of identity, family ties, and the yearning for love and happiness.

The film begins with the scheme of Mrs. Nga (Phuc An) - a woman from a poor background who harbors ambitions to enter the upper class. In desperation, she asks a midwife to swap one of her twin daughters with another family's son.

From that fateful moment, the two siblings were separated: Thuan (Le Thu), a gentle, hardworking girl who grew up in a poor farming family; and Diem My (Mai Tam Nhu), a proud, beautiful, and selfish girl who was spoiled in luxury.

That fateful swap set the stage for a series of subsequent events, especially the love triangle between the two sisters and Hoa (Thanh Duy) - Thuan's childhood friend. While wholeheartedly shouldering all family responsibilities so Hoa could study in the city, he gradually became caught up in the world of glamour and fell into Diem My's "love trap."

Thuan raised her child alone, enduring countless hardships and tears, while Diem My, driven by selfishness and ambition, was willing to do anything to keep Hoa for herself, even harming her own sister without her knowledge.

More than just a film about a love triangle, "Love's Net" also reflects the opposing aspects of life: sacrifice and selfishness; compassion and ambition; forgiveness and consequences.

According to director Vo Viet Hung, the film emphasizes the law of cause and effect: you reap what you sow. The tragedy in the film not only destroys the generation of parents, but also leaves behind hatred, discrimination between biological and adopted children, and sows bitterness for innocent children as well.
