Hang Luoc Flower Market is one of the most famous flower markets in Hanoi. It is a traditional flower market of the people of Hanoi's Old Quarter.
Nowadays, with the expansion of urban space, Hanoi has many other flower markets, but Hang Luoc flower market remains a favorite destination for many people.
Building upon the traditional Hang Luoc Flower Market, to welcome the Year of the Horse (Binh Ngo), Hoan Kiem ward is expanding the flower market space to create an attractive destination for locals and tourists to enjoy and shop for Tet. The flower market will be held along the streets of Hang Luoc, Hang Khoai, Hang Ruoi, Hang Ma, and the mural street of Phung Hung.
The highlight of this year's Old Quarter Spring Flower Market is the Phung Hung mural street experience space, brightly decorated with clusters of miniature scenes and beautiful models such as a giant horse racing board game, and stalls constructed from bamboo.
Here, 30 stalls are set up to display and introduce handicrafts, traditional village products, and folk paintings. In addition, many cultural and artistic activities take place along this street, such as: Xam singing, calligraphy, making banh chung (traditional Vietnamese rice cakes), making clay figurines, painting Dong Ho folk paintings, painting horse models, and experiencing 3D chocolate painting...

To make it easier for locals and tourists to enjoy themselves, shop, and experience the market, the organizers have not placed stalls in the middle of the road on Hang Luoc, Hang Khoai, Hang Ma, and Hang Ruoi streets, creating a clear and unobstructed route for people to access the flower market.
The stalls are divided into sections including: Tet flower market, traditional craft village, and folk art space.
Specifically, the area for selling flowers and ornamental plants is concentrated on Hang Luoc Street (the section from Hang Luoc to the Hang Khoai intersection).
At the intersection of Hang Luoc and Hang Ma streets, two clusters of "Old Street" stalls, recreating the traditional trading space of old Hanoi, will evoke nostalgic memories of a cultural aspect of the capital city.
Notably, for the first time, the Organizing Committee has dedicated an entire area at the intersection of Hang Luoc and Hang Khoai streets to showcase unique varieties of Da Lat orchids.
To create a culturally rich space with experiential activities that are both deeply traditional and highly creative, the decoration and lighting work was implemented in conjunction with the installation of welcome gates on Hang Luoc Street, Hang Ma Street, and Phung Hung Mural Street.
The intersections, historical monuments, valuable architectural structures, and mural areas of Phung Hung Street are all decorated with lively and eye-catching floral displays and models.
The People's Committee of Hoan Kiem Ward announced that during the 2026 Old Quarter Spring Flower Market, the streets of Hang Luoc, Hang Khoai, Hang Ruoi, Hang Ma, and the section of Phung Hung street with murals will be closed to traffic and traffic will be rerouted appropriately. The organization of the 2026 Old Quarter Spring Flower Market will also create a cultural and artistic space, a community gathering place, and serve as a foundation for the development of Phung Hung street towards service, trade, and tourism, linked to the pedestrian zone of Hanoi's Old Quarter and the annual Tet Flower Market in Hoan Kiem Ward.
The opening ceremony of the 2026 Old Quarter Spring Flower Market is scheduled to be held on the evening of February 6, 2026 (the 19th day of the 12th lunar month of the Year of the Snake) at the intersection of Hang Luoc, Hang Cot, and Phung Hung streets.
The opening program included special welcoming cultural performances and experiential activities, tours of the Tet flower market and the mural space on Phung Hung Street, along with other cultural and artistic activities for the public.
