The Party Committee of Phu Huu commune (An Phu district) has always identified the study and emulation of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, ethics, and style as one of the important political tasks in Party building work. Therefore, it has concretized this into plans and organized widespread implementation from within the Party to the people, ensuring that they consciously study and follow these principles.

Accordingly, the commune Party Committee proactively developed ethical standards and guidelines for subordinate Party branches to build work plans and regulations, so that each cadre and Party member would voluntarily register to practice, study, and follow these standards through practical and effective actions. The results of this implementation were then used as criteria for awarding commendations and evaluating and classifying grassroots Party organizations and Party members at the end of the year.

According to Nguyen Van Dung, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Committee of Phu Huu commune, the Standing Committee of the Party Committee has identified studying and following President Ho Chi Minh's teachings as an important political task. The commune has boldly incorporated studying and following President Ho Chi Minh's teachings into the main contents of monthly regular Party branch meetings and in all activities of agencies and units, especially in the performance of duties by each cadre and Party member. The commune has been actively implementing Directive 05-CT/TW and Conclusion 01-KL/TW of the Politburo, Plan 29-KH/HU and Plan 84-KH/HU of the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee, and the province's 2025 thematic program "An Giang studies and follows the example of President Ho Chi Minh and President Ton Duc Thang in caring for the people's lives." The Phu Huu commune Party Committee has relied on the people to care for their lives, promoting the people's role as masters in socio -economic development, especially in building new rural areas. Through this, it has exploited and mobilized social resources along with state investment capital, focusing on building Phu Huu commune into an increasingly developed area.

Most notably, the social mobilization efforts have been outstanding. From May 2024 to May 2025, businesses and the public have contributed over 20 billion VND in money and in-kind donations to build infrastructure, welfare facilities, and improve social security. Examples include: mobilizing the public to donate over 25,000 m² of land to upgrade and expand 2.8 km of rural roads and 3 internal field roads totaling over 3 km, serving production, transportation, and goods delivery; constructing 2 new pedestrian bridges, over 100 meters long, facilitating easier transportation and goods delivery; and upgrading the street lighting system along over 20 km, contributing to a more vibrant rural landscape and reducing social ills and traffic accidents at night.

In particular, thanks to support from the province, district, and commune, 116 houses were built and repaired under the "Great Solidarity" program, "Houses of Compassion," and "Houses of Love," helping many policy beneficiary families, poor households, and disadvantaged households to settle down and prosper. Models such as "Participating in eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses," "Free meals," "Rice jar of compassion," "Free patient transport," and "Godmothers supporting and nurturing orphaned children affected by COVID-19" have spread widely, contributing to the completion of many targets and criteria for building new rural areas in the locality. In addition, the commune also distributed over 1,500 gift packages, more than 5 tons of rice, and carried out many other charitable social activities.

The administrative reform models have been innovated and created to better serve the needs of the people, for example: "Receiving applications and delivering results at home for policy beneficiary families, the elderly, and people with disabilities," "Building a friendly government that serves the people," etc.

Through concrete and practical actions, the Party and government have gradually built up Phu Huu commune, improving the material and spiritual lives of the people, thus increasing their trust and attachment to the Party and government.
