Parents are teachers too

Báo Thanh niênBáo Thanh niên27/05/2023

On May 27, speaking with Thanh Nien Newspaper reporter, a leader of Dak Glong District People's Committee ( Dak Nong ) said that the police are still investigating and handling the case of a parent beating a teacher because he thought that because of her, his child was ranked as average in conduct, which recently happened in Quang Son commune (Dak Glong District).

According to the leader of the People's Committee of Dak Glong District, Mr. LMD, the parent who beat the teacher is also a teacher working at a school in Quang Son Commune. "The case is still being investigated by the police. We have also sent a report to the Provincial People's Committee," the leader of the People's Committee of Dak Glong District added.

As reported by Thanh Nien Newspaper, on the evening of May 25, Ms. VTKQ (teacher at Le Duan High School, Quang Son Commune, Dak Glong District) was at her private home in Quang Son Commune when Mr. LMD suddenly came to her house, cursed her, and then assaulted her. Mr. D. is the parent of LMQ, a student at Le Duan High School.

Ms. Q. shouted and her neighbors came over to stop and help her, and then reported the incident to the authorities.

According to initial assessment, the cause of the incident stemmed from LMQ's average conduct rating; possibly not meeting the requirements to take the entrance exam to some universities.

Previously, LMQ had behaved disrespectfully towards Ms. VTKQ, so she wrote a comment in her notebook. That was also considered one of the reasons why Q. was ranked as having average conduct at the end of the school year.

Regarding the above incident, on May 26, the People's Committee of Dak Nong province issued a document requesting the Provincial Police to investigate and strictly handle the case, and report to the Provincial People's Committee.
