From startup aspirations to the role of Chairman of the Board of Directors

Open, sincere and enthusiastic - that's what we felt when we met Ms. Nguyen Thi Chung Tinh - Chairwoman of the Board of Directors and General Director of Hoang Phan Trading Joint Stock Company. As a dynamic woman, she has steered the business through difficulties, gradually asserting its position in the market.

In 2006, after graduating from the National Economics University, instead of returning to her hometown to find a stable job, Ms. Tinh stayed in Hanoi, accumulated experience and participated in several projects, nurturing her long-cherished desire to start a business.

After many years in the stationery business, in 2012, she decided to return to her hometown and established Hoang Phan Trading Joint Stock Company in Vinh Yen Ward. At that time, Ms. Tinh was not yet 30 years old but had already taken on the responsibility of Chairwoman of the Board of Directors and General Director of the company.

On her entrepreneurial journey, she faced countless difficulties and challenges: lack of capital, lack of experience, pressure to take on many roles at the same time - being a director, a wife and a mother in the family. However, her determination and perseverance helped her overcome all to build a growing business.

In the context of increasingly fierce competition, Ms. Nguyen Thi Chung Tinh chose the direction of sustainable development, putting product quality first, maintaining prestige with customers and building corporate culture, creating a sustainable foundation for development. Thanks to the appropriate business strategy, Hoang Phan Trading Joint Stock Company has expanded 4 branches, providing stationery products and services to about 500 regular customers.

From only 4 employees when it was first established, the company has now grown to a team of 50 officers and employees, with an average income of 8-10 million VND/person/month. If the first year's revenue was only 914 million VND, in recent years, this figure has remained at an average of 35 billion VND or more. With determination and flexibility in management, Ms. Tinh has built a united, cohesive team, working together to make the business stronger and stronger.

Ms. Tinh's story is a living proof that when women have the opportunity, they can absolutely achieve success - not only through resilience, but also through their ability to create value and make a difference.

More than 10 years ago, when the concept of “women as business directors” was still rare, Ms. Tinh overcame countless challenges to build a prestigious brand. Each achievement of the business is the result of a persistent journey, requiring much more effort than men. But that did not make women like Ms. Tinh falter, but rather increased their will and desire to rise up.

Turning livestock waste into organic fertilizer

From the idea of ​​reusing livestock and crop waste to make organic fertilizer products, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Huong in Hoi Thinh commune has brought her start-up project to success. The story of the woman "turning organic waste into black gold" became a reality when Ms. Huong built and developed Thanh Van Organic Agriculture Cooperative, bringing sustainable economic value to the community.

Despite initial difficulties in output, Ms. Huong's model of "Turning livestock waste into organic fertilizer" has proven to be an effective solution, contributing to solving the problem of environmental pollution. The products of Thanh Van Organic Agricultural Cooperative, especially the Bamboo Organic fertilizer line, can replace chemical fertilizers. With high nutritional content, safe for plants, and environmentally friendly, these products are increasingly being positively received by many farmers.

Ms. Huong shared: “As an environmental engineer, I always practice perseverance in the face of difficulties and challenges, and persevere with my passion and mission to build sustainable agriculture from waste recycling. At the same time, promoting the spirit of lifelong learning, cultivating practical knowledge, and inheriting scientific and technical achievements is the shortest way to help me improve myself, contributing to the development of an increasingly strong cooperative.”

Accompanying women in the digital age

Behind the success of every woman in business is not only personal effort but also support from organizations and unions. In recent years, the Provincial Women's Union has implemented many practical programs to support women in starting businesses and developing the economy. Currently, the Union at all levels manages 5,600 billion VND for more than 113,000 members to borrow capital for economic development, directs the establishment of 49 cooperatives and 123 cooperative groups, and supports more than 4,800 women to start businesses.

The Provincial Women's Union always accompanies its members' start-up and economic development programs.

The activities of the annual “Women Entrepreneurship” Competition have brought about remarkable results: 120 projects won provincial prizes, 46 projects won central prizes. Many models of women doing good business have been spread from these activities, helping women to be more confident, proactive, and gradually affirm their position in society.

Comrade Nguyen Hong Nhung - Vice Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Women's Union said: With the spirit of "Where there are women, there are support activities", the Women's Union constantly innovates the content and methods of operation, promptly accompanying women in the digital age. The goal is to improve the effectiveness of policies to support women in starting a business, especially in the context that the Vietnam Women's Union has just submitted to the Prime Minister for approval of Project 939 "Supporting women in starting a business in the period 2026-2030", creating a foundation to continue implementing meaningful programs in the coming period.

Thanks to the support and encouragement of organizations and unions, and the promotion of their own inner strength, many women have risen to become directors and business founders... But above all, they still preserve the precious traditional qualities: resilient, thoughtful, responsible, and devoted to the community. They deserve to be honored and continue to be a source of inspiration for the younger generation of women to continue their journey to master their lives and conquer their dreams.
