- Keeping pace with digital transformation, women's associations at all levels in the area have proactively incorporated this into their work programs, identifying it as a key task. From promoting awareness and training in technological skills to supporting members in applying digital platforms in their lives and production, digital transformation is gradually being put into practice, contributing to improving the effectiveness of associations and bringing practical benefits to women.
Every day, in addition to tending her orchards and livestock, Ms. Ha Thi Hien, a member of the Women's Association in Dinh Lap commune, takes the time to post her family's self-produced products on social media to introduce and sell them. From fruits like pomelo, star fruit, and custard apple to meat from the bamboo rat, chicken, duck, and eggs, she regularly updates her listings. When customers in the commune place orders, she proactively delivers them directly to their homes. Thanks to ensuring freshness, her family's products maintain a stable base of regular customers.
Ms. Hien said: "Since using smartphones and joining Facebook, I have not only gained more knowledge but also mastered online sales skills and cashless payment methods. Previously, I had to take my goods to the market, but now I just need to post them on social media, saving time and costs while still ensuring sales."

Ms. Hien is not alone; in recent times, along with the strong development of digital transformation, many women in the province have proactively and creatively applied digital applications to serve their lives, production, and business. This practice aligns with the general direction. The development strategy of the Vietnam Women's Union until 2025, with a vision to 2030, identifies the application of technology as a prerequisite for innovation in organization and operation; the Resolution of the 13th National Congress of the Vietnam Women's Union emphasizes that the breakthrough is the innovation of working methods, with a focus on the application of information technology.
To concretize the policy on digital transformation, the Women's Union at all levels has focused on improving the information technology application capacity of grassroots officials. As a result, 100% of officials from the provincial to the grassroots level are proficient in using document management software; personnel and member management software; and have begun applying artificial intelligence (AI) in organizing meetings, branch activities, and developing communication products. Local branches have intensified propaganda and mobilization efforts to encourage members to participate in the province's digital platforms such as "Digital Citizen of Lang Son" and "Digital Front"; and have collaborated with the Agricultural and Rural Development Bank to develop electronic payment accounts. Online seminars on digital transformation in the Union's activities and the application "Vietnamese Women" linked to raising awareness about online safety are also regularly organized.
In January 2026, the "Digital Ambassador" model was implemented in Hoang Van Thu commune, marking a highlight in the local association's digital transformation efforts. Through this model, branch leaders received training and hands-on practice in skills such as using VNeID electronic identification accounts for administrative procedures, cashless payments, and listing products on e-commerce platforms. After training, the branch leaders continued to guide members in their respective areas. This approach significantly contributed to the widespread dissemination of digital technology knowledge and skills within the community.
Simultaneously, many women's associations have created fan pages and Zalo groups to provide information and manage activities; they have also organized training on e-commerce, online public services, and safe social media usage skills. Through these efforts, they have not only innovated the association's operational methods but also encouraged women to start businesses and develop their family economies.
From the beginning of 2025 to the present, women's associations at all levels have organized more than 850 awareness campaigns for over 43,000 members on digital transformation, installation, and use of digital applications. As a result, nearly 40,000 members have opened electronic payment accounts, gradually forming the habit of cashless transactions and conducting administrative procedures electronically. Many women have become proficient in basic skills and proactively utilize social media and e-commerce platforms to promote and sell their products.
The practical activities of women's associations at all levels have contributed to equipping members with knowledge and skills, creating a foundation for them to gradually become "digital citizens," and contributing to spreading digital transformation to every family and residential area. Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong Van, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province and President of the Provincial Women's Union, said: The Union has determined that digital transformation must start from the grassroots, from each member. Based on that, we have developed a specific plan, focusing on equipping women with the necessary knowledge and skills to apply technology in their lives and production.
In the coming period, women's associations at all levels will intensify activities to cultivate safe digital skills, enhance the ability to identify and prevent fraud, protect personal data, and proactively combat harmful and toxic information on the internet. Through this, they will contribute to building the image of Lang Son women as dynamic, capable, confident, and technologically savvy, accompanying the province's development in the digital age.
