Phu Quoc has a new Party Secretary.

On April 16th, in Phu Quoc City, the Standing Committee of the Kien Giang Provincial Party Committee held a conference to announce decisions on personnel matters. Accordingly, the Standing Committee of the Kien Giang Provincial Party Committee relieved Mr. Tong Phuoc Truong from his positions in the Executive Committee and Standing Committee, and from his role as Secretary of the Phu Quoc City Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term; he was transferred and appointed as Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department.

The Standing Committee of the Kien Giang Provincial Party Committee has transferred, rotated, and appointed Mr. Le Quoc Anh (52 years old) - Provincial Party Committee member, Vice Chairman of the Kien Giang Provincial People's Committee, to participate in the Executive Committee and Standing Committee, and to hold the position of Secretary of the Phu Quoc City Party Committee, for the term 2020-2025.

Speaking at the conference, Kien Giang Provincial Party Secretary Do Thanh Binh said that Mr. Le Quoc Anh is a well-trained, dynamic official who has been tested and matured through various positions. In every position he has held, Mr. Le Quoc Anh has always performed his duties well, gradually affirming his capabilities and prestige.

The Secretary of the Kien Giang Provincial Party Committee requested that, in his new position, Mr. Le Quoc Anh continue to strive and improve in all aspects, overcome difficulties, further develop his intellect and experience, and constantly cultivate his moral character and work capacity. At the same time, he urged him to uphold the spirit of unity and responsibility in his work, and to work together with the Executive Committee, Standing Committee, and the Standing Board of the Phu Quoc City Party Committee to successfully fulfill political tasks, determined to build a clean and strong Party Committee for the city, and to ensure faster and more sustainable development of Phu Quoc City.

Also at this ceremony, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Kien Giang province transferred and appointed Mr. Dinh Phu Nam – Head of the Mass Mobilization Department and Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Phu Quoc City – to the position of Deputy Director of Phu Quoc National Park.
