Phu Quoc welcomes 400 visitors from the Czech Republic.

Flight A350-900 WFL8623 from Prague (Czech Republic) landed at Phu Quoc International Airport carrying approximately 400 passengers.

At approximately 10:00 AM on October 24th, the Kien Giang Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion Center, in coordination with the Phu Quoc City People's Committee and the Provincial Department of Tourism, organized a welcoming ceremony for a group of approximately 400 tourists from the Czech Republic who came to the island for sightseeing and relaxation.

According to the itinerary, the group will have a 7-day vacation on the island and visit many famous attractions such as Grand World Phu Quoc, Vinpearl Safari Phu Quoc, and Sunset Town, and take a cable car to visit Hon Thom Island (An Thoi ward).

Visitors will learn more about the beautiful natural scenery of the islands and the cultural life of the people on Phu Quoc Island.

Ms. Quang Xuan Lua, Director of the Kien Giang Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion Center, said that Phu Quoc is currently in its most beautiful season of the year with its clear, calm beaches. This is also the ideal time for international tourists to visit Phu Quoc for recreation and relaxation.

"The Czech Republic is a market where international tourists consistently choose Phu Quoc as a holiday destination. On October 28th, Phu Quoc will welcome another group of approximately 400 Slovakian tourists. This promises to make Phu Quoc a bustling hub for international visitors towards the end of 2024," Ms. Lua happily stated.

Following this flight, Phu Quoc will continue to receive flights from the Czech Republic continuously until the end of April 2025. It is expected that an average of 700 tourists from Eastern Europe will visit the island each week, double the number compared to 2024.

According to the Kien Giang Department of Tourism, in 2023, Phu Quoc received approximately 6,410 international tourists from the Czech Republic. In the first nine months of 2024, Phu Quoc welcomed around 8,600 visitors from this country.
