Scenic Dong Cam Dam faces garbage
Last Sunday, I had the opportunity to visit Dong Cam Dam (in Hoa Hoi commune, Phu Hoa district and Son Thanh Dong commune, Tay Hoa district), a scenic relic that has been ranked by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism at the national level. on September 5, 9. Although located separate from other famous tourist areas, Dong Cam dam still brings its own attraction to tourists when coming to Phu Yen. Not only on holidays, Saturdays and Sundays, but also on weekdays, many people still come here to visit and admire the work that has both very high aesthetic value and economic and historical significance. Beautiful, charming natural landscape and unique architecture of Dong Cam dam.
My friend is from Phu Yen, has lived for a long time in the mountain town of Pleiku, Gia Lai province to visit his hometown, not forgetting to bring his family and some relatives from the Central Highlands to visit Dong Cam dam. Or recently, many writers and artists of the province have also spent time going to practice at this national scenic relic to find inspiration for their creation. However, upon arrival, according to our observations, this scenic relic is facing environmental pollution due to waste. In the area adjacent to the water intake of the North main canal, near the foot of the dam, where there are many trees, littered with garbage. Some people come here to organize cooking and eating and then leave plastic bottles, plastic bags, littering indiscriminately. Many homemade stoves with natural stones still have the charcoal intact after cooking. Most of the plastic waste thrown into the environment is stuck in the crevices of rocks, tree holes, crept in the forest; some drift with the water currents, continuing to pollute other places. Although the management unit (Dong Cam Aquaculture One Member Limited Liability Company) has posted a sign prohibiting eating and littering in this area, but when we came here, there were still some groups of people organizing cooking. , eat and drink on the spot.

Vung Ro Bay, Xuan Dai Bay ... were also "attacked" by garbage.
Not only in the national scenic site of Dong Cam Dam, in Vung Ro Bay (Hoa Xuan Nam Commune, Dong Hoa Town) - a place associated with the National Historic Site of Ben - Ship No Number Vung Ro, attracts a large number of tourists to visit during the holidays - also often being attacked by various types of plastic waste, such as plastic bags, plastic bottles, foam floats, etc., causing pollution. The cause of this situation is that many people often throw household waste into the sea; raft tourism business households and tourists also naturally discharge waste into the bay, so the amount of garbage here is increasing every day. From the end of April to the beginning of October, when the wind starts to turn, the floating garbage is washed ashore by the waves.
Similarly, the national landscape of Xuan Dai Bay is also polluted by garbage. Passing through the sea villages located along the bay, every few hundred meters, a garbage bag is encountered; There are giant garbage bags that take up a large area of the water.
Environmental pollution is not a new issue. However, at monuments and landscapes polluted by garbage is something that all levels, sectors and people need to pay special attention to.
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has issued Official Letter 1895 requesting the attached departments to guide the development of conventions and conventions to integrate environmental protection content against plastic waste, in which focus is on directing the management board of monuments, organize festivals to strengthen propaganda for people and tourists to limit the use of plastic bags, guide the classification of plastic waste, dispose of garbage in the right places ... This is also a part of the Regulations. Code of civilized behavior when traveling promulgated by the National Administration of Tourism.
For a green, clean and beautiful Phu Yen - a friendly and attractive destination for tourists; For the health of the community and sustainable development, everyone, let's join hands to protect the environment, not to litter the environment indiscriminately. Let's not let waste destroy historical - cultural relics, landscapes.
