Vietnam Pickleball sets Guinness record

VHO - The PPA Tour Asia – MB Vietnam Cup 2025 tournament, co-organized by FPT Play, has been officially recognized by Guinness as the Pickleball tournament with the largest live audience in the world, surpassing the previous record in the US with more than 7,900 participants.

After 5 days of exciting competition, from September 30, 2025 to October 4, 2025 at Tien Son Sports Palace and Tuyen Son Sports Village (Da Nang), the PPA Tour Asia – MB Vietnam Cup 2025 International Pickleball Tournament ended with resounding success, not only in terms of professional quality but also in terms of organization scale and audience attraction.

Full stands, enthusiastic atmosphere, each dramatic move receiving continuous applause… all created a rare sports festival.

With over 7,900 spectators in attendance, the event was officially certified by Guinness World Records as the Pickleball tournament with the largest live audience in the world, breaking the previous record set in the US.

The Guinness World Record is not only a source of pride for the organizers but also a testament to the growing appeal of Pickleball in Vietnam.

The tournament was organized byFPT Play in collaboration with the Da Nang City Pickleball Federation and AAC Company, bringing together nearly 600 professional and amateur athletes from many countries.

Among them are the world's top tennis players such as Ben Johns, Tyson McGuffin, Kaitlyn Christian, and many excellent representatives of Vietnam such as Phuc Huynh, Trinh Linh Giang, Alix Truong.

Professional prizes of up to 150,000 USD, along with an international standard competition system, have made Vietnam a new bright spot on the global Pickleball map.

The event is not only a turning point for Vietnamese sports, but also a clear demonstration of the ability to organize world-class tournaments, contributing to promoting culture, tourism and the country's image to international friends.
