MSc. Pham Quang Truong introduced the features, benefits, and usage instructions of the VnEtrip software for managers and businesses in the tourism , restaurant, and hotel sectors.
Digital tourism platform after provincial merger.
Currently, VnEtrip is being piloted at key tourist destinations: Tra Su Melaleuca Forest; Tuc Dup Hill; An Hao Solar Power Plant Tourist Area; Cam Mountain Forest Park Tourist Area; Dong Xuyen Hotel Cluster; Con En Eco-tourism Site; and Phan Nam Farm Tourist Site. This phase involves testing operational effectiveness and gaining practical experience before expanding to the entire province after July 2025. This is one of the contents of the implementation of Model 22 - Project 06/CP: “Developing tourism, linked with regional specialties, supporting people in applying population data, electronic identification and authentication in the development of household economy and digital economy”, signed by the People's Committee of An Giang province in cooperation with the Global Telecommunications Technology Corporation (Gtel).
MSc. Pham Quang Truong, Deputy Head of the Faculty of Business and Law (Saigon International University), and Deputy General Director of VnEtrip Trading and Service Joint Stock Company, said: “VnEtrip is the digital tourism platform for An Giang province, which tourists can download directly from CH Play and App Store. With the motto “Safe - Convenient - Transparent - Comprehensive Connection”, VnEtrip has outstanding features, giving tourists everything at a single touch. Tourists only need to install the VnEtrip application and turn on GPS location. The application will automatically recognize the location and then display all the information tourists need, such as: what delicious food to eat, where beautiful places to visit, which hotels are good, where to take beautiful photos, what specialties to buy as souvenirs… This information is personalized according to each person's needs and preferences thanks to artificial intelligence (AI). Customers can book tickets for sightseeing, tours, accommodation, and other services with just a few simple steps. Everything is clear and transparent in terms of price. No need to print paper.” Electronic tickets in QR code format allow for quick and convenient check-in at your destination. Order and receive local specialties, such as Chau Doc fish sauce, linh fish sauce, dried seafood, and puffed rice cakes, delivered to your home after your trip.
Ms. Lan Anh (from Ho Chi Minh City), visiting Chau Doc City for the first time, said: “Instead of spending hours searching on Google or calling to book rooms, I just opened the VnEtrip app. In a few minutes, I booked a room in Nui Cam, a combo ticket to visit Tra Su Melaleuca Forest, the Nui Cam Forest cable car, and checked in quickly via QR code. In addition, I could also order An Giang specialties to be sent back to Ho Chi Minh City. Everything was quick, convenient, and the trip was easy and worry-free.”
Easy business, efficient management.
For local businesses – easy and safe business. Businesses, households involved in tourism, hotels, homestays, restaurants, and services in An Giang can easily participate in the VnEtrip platform by proactively creating a digital storefront, uploading service information, updating prices, and promotions without needing programming skills. This allows them to directly reach thousands of tourists without incurring high intermediary costs like those associated with typical commercial tourism applications. Importantly, VnEtrip requires businesses to verify their electronic identity (eKYB). It also uses OCR to verify business licenses and legal documents. Therefore, businesses can rest assured that customers on the system are real people (having undergone eKYC verification), minimizing fraud, fake reviews, or damage to business reputation. Mr. Nam (owner of a homestay in Cam Mountain) shared: “Previously, to advertise my services, I had to rely on agencies or post on Facebook, which wasn't effective. Now, I just need to post on VnEtrip, customers book directly, and I feel more secure because the customers have been clearly verified. Business has become more transparent and stable.”
Mr. Nguyen Thanh Su, Deputy Head of the Project Implementation Team 06 in the Southern Region under Gtel (Ministry of Public Security), stated that the VnEtrip app is also a useful technological platform that helps local authorities and tourism management agencies in the province directly monitor the number of visitors at each destination through the application. Clear data helps coordinate resources such as staff, traffic, environmental sanitation, and security. It also allows for quick reception of customer feedback on service quality, enabling better management and immediate problem resolution. Digital data forms the basis for long-term tourism development strategies and the creation of new tourism products that meet actual market needs. For example, during festivals, tourist destinations often experience overcrowding and difficulty in controlling crowds. Now, by simply accessing the VnEtrip system, visitors can immediately identify crowded areas, identify locations requiring timely assistance, and manage tourism effectively through specific data. In the future, the VnEtrip app will continue to update with many new features, such as adding English, Chinese, and Korean languages to serve international tourists and will be rolled out nationwide.
Following the pilot phase, the province will officially launch the VnEtrip ecosystem, encouraging all tourism, accommodation, transportation, and service businesses within the province to participate. This opens the way towards a new, modern, smart, and sustainable tourism future for An Giang. From here, An Giang tourism will become a crucial economic sector and a symbol of harmonious connection and development between people, nature, and technology. VnEtrip is the first, but extremely important, step towards making the newly merged An Giang a leading smart and modern tourism center in the Mekong Delta region.
