Digital tourism platform after province merger
Currently, VnEtrip is being piloted at typical tourist destinations: Tra Su Melaleuca Forest; Tuc Dup Hill; An Hao Solar Power Tourist Area; Lam Vien Nui Cam Tourist Area; Dong Xuyen Hotel Cluster; Con En Eco-Tourism Site; Phan Nam Farm Tourist Site. This phase tests operational efficiency and practical experience, to expand throughout the province after July 2025. This is one of the contents of implementing model 22 - Project 06/CP: "Developing tourism, associated with regional specialties, supporting people to apply population data, identification and electronic authentication in developing household economy , digital economy", signed by An Giang Provincial People's Committee in cooperation with Global Telecommunication Technology Corporation (Gtel).

With the motto "Safe - convenient - transparent - comprehensive connection", VnEtrip has outstanding features, with tourists everything in one touch. Tourists just need to install the VnEtrip application and turn on GPS positioning. The application will automatically recognize the location, then display all the information tourists need, such as: What delicious food to eat, where to play, which good hotel to stay, where to take beautiful photos, what specialties to buy as gifts... This information is personalized according to the needs and preferences of each person thanks to artificial intelligence (AI). Customers book tickets, tours, rooms, and other services with just a few simple steps. Everything is clear and transparent about prices. No need Print documents, e-tickets in QR code format, check-in quickly and conveniently at the destination. Order and receive local specialties, such as: Chau Doc fish sauce, linh fish sauce, dried fish, rice paper... delivered to your home after the trip ends.
Ms. Lan Anh (from Ho Chi Minh City) came to Chau Doc City for the first time and said: “Instead of spending hours searching Google, calling to book a room, I just need to open the VnEtrip app. In a few minutes, I booked a room at Nui Cam, a combo ticket to visit Tra Su cajuput forest, Lam Vien Nui Cam cable car, and a quick check-in using QR. In addition, I can also order An Giang specialties to be sent to Ho Chi Minh City. Everything happened quickly, conveniently, the trip was smooth and secure.”
Easy business, effective management
For local businesses - easy and safe business. Businesses, tourism businesses, hotels, homestays, restaurants, and services in An Giang can easily participate in the VnEtrip platform by proactively creating digital booths, posting service information, updating prices, and promotions without knowing programming. Thereby, they can directly reach thousands of tourists, without having to pay high intermediary costs like conventional commercial tourism applications. In particular, VnEtrip requires businesses to authenticate their electronic identity (eKYB). At the same time, OCR is applied to verify business licenses and legal documents. Therefore, businesses can rest assured that customers on the system are also real people (eKYC verified), minimizing fraud, fake reviews, or lowering business reputation. Mr. Nam (homestay owner in Cam Mountain) shared: “Previously, to advertise my services, I had to ask an agent or post on Facebook which was ineffective. Now, I just need to post on VnEtrip, customers book directly, I feel more secure because the customers have been clearly verified. The business has become more transparent and stable.”
Mr. Nguyen Thanh Su, Deputy Head of the Project 06 Implementation Team in the Southern Region of Gtel (Ministry of Public Security) said that the VnEtrip app is also a useful technology platform that helps local authorities and provincial tourism management agencies to directly monitor the number of visitors at each destination through the application. Clear data helps coordinate resources, such as: Staff, traffic, environmental sanitation, ensuring security and order. Quickly receive customer feedback on service quality, help manage well and handle problems as soon as they arise. Digital data is the basis for planning long-term tourism development strategies, building new tourism products suitable for actual market needs. Typically, during festivals, crowds are often overloaded at difficult-to-control tourism locations. Now, just open the VnEtrip system, immediately know which spots are crowded, which spots need timely support, and manage tourism through specific data. In the coming time, the VnEtrip app will continue to update many new features such as adding English, Chinese and Korean languages, serving international tourists and deploying nationwide.
After the pilot phase, the province will officially launch the participation of all tourism, accommodation, transportation and service enterprises in the province in the VnEtrip ecosystem. Opening the way to a new, modern, smart and sustainable tourism future of An Giang. From here, An Giang tourism will be an important economic sector and become a symbol of the connection and harmonious development between people - nature - technology. VnEtrip is the first but extremely important step for the new An Giang after the merger to truly become the leading smart and modern tourism center in the Western region.
