The National Assembly is strongly innovating its legislative thinking.

The National Assembly continues to innovate its working methods and strongly reform legislative thinking towards a constructive and leading development approach; focusing on perfecting and synchronizing institutions for rapid and sustainable national development.

On the occasion of the New Year 2026 and in preparation for the traditional Lunar New Year of the Horse, on the morning of January 27th, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man visited the memorial site (Ung Thien commune, Hanoi) to offer incense in remembrance of the late General Secretary Truong Chinh and the late National Assembly Chairman Le Quang Dao; visited and offered New Year greetings to former General Secretary Nong Duc Manh and former National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan; and visited and offered incense in remembrance of the late Minister of Public Security Le Minh Huong.

National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man respectfully offered incense in remembrance and expressed profound gratitude to Mr. Bui Bang Doan - a great intellectual, a distinguished representative of the people, and the first Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam. The Chairman affirmed that today's generations of National Assembly representatives are committed to following his great aspirations, continuously cultivating their character, intellect, and public service ethics; contributing to building a National Assembly that is increasingly democratic, rule of law, professional, and modern; worthy of the trust of the Party, the State, and the people.

On the same day, on behalf of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly , National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man lit incense to commemorate the late General Secretary Truong Chinh and the late National Assembly Chairman Le Quang Dao. National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man expressed profound gratitude for the immense contributions of the late General Secretary and the late National Assembly Chairman to the revolutionary cause of the Party and the Vietnamese people.

Also on January 27th, during a visit to extend New Year greetings to former General Secretary Nong Duc Manh and former National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Manh thanked the former General Secretary and former National Assembly Chairwoman for their continued interest, attention, and heartfelt contributions to the National Assembly's activities over the past period.

The Chairman of the National Assembly stated that the 14th National Congress of the Party and the 10th Session of the 15th National Assembly were very successful. Building on the achievements of previous terms, the 15th National Assembly has continuously strived for innovation to improve the quality and effectiveness of its operations and better meet the demands of reality and the expectations of voters. These innovative efforts have made the National Assembly increasingly professional, promoted democracy, strengthened the rule of law, and created a solid foundation for the country to enter a new era of national progress. The Chairman affirmed that in the coming period, the National Assembly will continue to innovate its organization and operations, professionalize and modernize to better meet the demands of reality; continue to strive to innovate working methods and strongly reform legislative thinking towards constructive and leading development; and focus on perfecting and synchronizing institutions for rapid and sustainable national development.

Former General Secretary Nong Duc Manh and former National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan expressed their gratitude for the deep affection and concern of National Assembly Chairwoman Tran Thanh Man and the National Assembly Standing Committee; they expressed their joy at the comprehensive achievements in all aspects of the National Assembly's activities in the past period, and expressed their confidence that, building on the results achieved, with the spirit of always putting the interests of the country and the people first and foremost, in the new stage of national development, the National Assembly will continue to achieve new successes and fulfill all tasks entrusted by the Party and the people.
