Binh Phuoc Provincial Planning:

(MPI) - With the theme "Binh Phuoc, an attractive destination," the Conference to announce the Binh Phuoc Provincial Planning for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050, was held in Binh Phuoc on December 14, 2024. The conference aims to provide basic information on provincial planning so that all levels, sectors, the business community, and the people can understand and agree on a common understanding for implementation. At the same time, it introduces the province's development orientations; attracts investment, and promotes local socio -economic development. This is also an opportunity for Binh Phuoc province to listen to the suggestions and ideas of managers, experts, investors, and businesses to maximize the exploitation and development of its potential and strengths; to realize the goal of making Binh Phuoc develop rapidly, comprehensively, and sustainably; and to ensure a more prosperous and happy life for its people.

In his opening remarks at the conference, the Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Tran Tue Hien, stated that the Binh Phuoc Provincial Planning for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050, was approved by the Prime Minister in Decision No. 1489/QD-TTg dated November 24, 2023, and adjusted in Decision No. 1259/QD-TTg dated October 24, 2024. The approved provincial planning is of great importance, serving as the legal basis for the province to formulate policies, implement spatial planning and rearrange development, allocate and utilize resources effectively, and maximize advantages to realize socio-economic development, national defense, and security goals. It also serves as the basis for developing urban planning, rural planning, district-level land use planning, and technical and specialized planning within the province in accordance with the law. This also marks a milestone that will help the province proactively shape its future and achieve breakthrough and sustainable development in the coming period.

Over the years, under the leadership and guidance of the Central Party Committee, the National Assembly, and the Government, with the support of central ministries and agencies; and building on the tradition of unity and overcoming difficulties of the entire political system, the business community, and the people, Binh Phuoc province has utilized its potential, transformed difficulties and challenges into opportunities to rise strongly and achieve significant accomplishments in almost all fields.

The Binh Phuoc Provincial Planning for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050, is a crucial legal document for the province to implement spatial planning, policy formulation, efficient allocation and utilization of resources, and maximize advantages to realize socio-economic development, national defense, and security goals.

The approved Binh Phuoc Provincial Planning is the result of a long process of effort, dedication, and collective intelligence invested to create a sophisticated, systematic, scientific, and high-quality provincial planning product. With this plan, the province is ready for a new, sustainable development phase with many goals and aspirations, transforming potential into driving forces for development, building Binh Phuoc into a modern, prosperous, and civilized industrial province, emphasized Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Tue Hien.

The conference heard a keynote address from Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha, who emphasized that Resolution No. 24-NQ/TW of the Politburo sets the goal of transforming the Southeast region into a developed area with strong economic potential and a modern economic structure; a center for science and technology and innovation, high-tech industries, logistics, and a leading international financial center in the region and the world; with modern and synchronized infrastructure. The goal is harmonious development between economy, culture, society, environmental protection, and national defense and security; a high quality of life, and leading levels of healthcare and education in Southeast Asia. In particular, Binh Phuoc province is identified as a key area for expanding industrial development in the region; developing border trade and logistics. Binh Phuoc plays an important role in protecting water resources, forest ecosystems, and biodiversity.

The Bình Phước Provincial Planning is a concrete step in implementing Resolution No. 24-NQ/TW, with a strategic vision and spatial organization of development based on resource potential, strategic position, cultural values, and human resources. In particular, the inter-regional and trans-Asian infrastructure system will connect the economic space of Ho Chi Minh City - Bình Dương - Bình Phước; and the economic corridor of the Central Highlands - Southeast Vietnam - Mekong Subregion.

This plan will create new spaces, resources, and impetus to realize the aspirations of the Party Committee, government, and people of Binh Phuoc; transforming Binh Phuoc into a modern, prosperous, and civilized industrial province; becoming one of the important economic growth poles of the Southeast region, a key economic hub connecting with the Central Highlands, with a harmonious development space between urban and rural areas; and an "attractive destination" of the Southeast region.

Speaking at the conference, Provincial Party Secretary Ton Ngoc Hanh affirmed that Binh Phuoc province will fully, seriously, and comprehensively absorb the important directives of Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha at the conference. Binh Phuoc will issue directives to implement the plan approved by the Prime Minister. In the immediate future, the province will continue to strengthen propaganda and mobilization efforts to encourage the people and domestic and foreign businesses to wholeheartedly support and effectively implement the plan.

Regarding investment attraction, Binh Phuoc is committed to protecting the legitimate rights and interests of businesses; creating a fair and transparent legal environment; accompanying investors and businesses to resolve difficulties and obstacles as quickly as possible on the principle of harmonious interests and shared risks; and implementing the "four good" motto (good infrastructure, good human resources, good policies, and good public services) so that investors can feel secure and choose Binh Phuoc as the place to implement projects, in line with the spirit of Binh Phuoc being "an attractive destination".

Over the past period, Binh Phuoc province has made great efforts to improve the investment and business environment; proactively prepared industrial infrastructure, invested in connecting transportation systems, improved the quality of human resources; and promoted reforms to improve efficiency and shorten the time for handling administrative procedures. This has helped Binh Phuoc become an attractive destination for investors from both within and outside the province.

At the conference, the People's Committee of Binh Phuoc province awarded investment registration certificates to 32 enterprises, with a total capital of over 628.7 million USD. Letters of interest from the Provincial People's Committee were also presented to three enterprises: Truong Tuoi Group Joint Stock Company, Thanh Phuong Real Estate Investment Joint Stock Company, and TH Group Joint Stock Company. Simultaneously, memoranda of cooperation were signed between Binh Phuoc province and the Vietnam Rubber Industry Group and Greenity Hau Giang One-Member Limited Liability Company.
