On February 2nd, 2026, within the framework of the Conference on the Implementation of Medical Examination and Treatment in 2026, the Hospital Fee Guarantee Portal was officially launched, marking an important milestone in the digitalization journey of the healthcare sector, bringing practical benefits to medical examination and treatment and contributing to the national digital transformation strategy.

In the national digital transformation process, healthcare is one of the sectors facing significant reform pressure. The healthcare digital transformation strategy for the period 2025–2030 aims to establish a centralized, standardized, and interconnected healthcare data ecosystem; effectively utilize real-time data for management, administration, and policy planning; and simultaneously improve the quality and experience of public services in the healthcare sector.

Over the past period, the digital ecosystem of the healthcare sector has gradually taken shape with many solutions such as hospital information management systems (HIS), electronic medical records, electronic health records, and digital platforms serving the public. Within this overall framework, hospital fee payment has been identified as a crucial step that needs to be digitized and synchronously connected to reduce the burden on patients and support the operation of healthcare facilities.

A link in the healthcare digital transformation strategy.

The hospital fee guarantee portal is a platform built and developed by Vietnam Card Technology Development Joint Stock Company, designed as an integrated infrastructure connecting with the VNyTe application, the hospital management system (HIS), and linking with the national electronic identification system. The solution connects and integrates with the hospital fee payment service – “Peace of mind for medical examination” of Saigon – Hanoi Commercial Joint Stock Bank (SHB ).

Through this platform, the entire process from patient verification and treatment cost generation to hospital bill payment is digitized and automated, ensuring transparency, accuracy, and seamlessness in the healthcare process.

The Hospital Fee Payment Guarantee Portal has officially launched.

In this collaborative deployment model, SHB Bank participates as a financial partner, providing and connecting necessary payment solutions so that patients can conveniently, safely, and seamlessly make cashless hospital fee payments on digital platforms. SHB is a pioneering bank in coordinating the deployment of hospital fee payment services on the payment guarantee portal.

SHB's financial services support the payment, freezing, and unfreezing processes as required by the system, contributing to the completion of the hospital fee payment cycle within the framework of the Hospital Fee Payment Guarantee Portal.
