Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano used the familiar phrase "Here we go" to confirm the deal is complete. Dean Huijsen is undergoing a medical examination and will sign a five-year contract with Real Madrid, running until 2030.
"The Spanish royal club will spend £50 million to buy the young central defender from Bournemouth. Real Madrid consider Huijsen a top talent, and new coach Xabi Alonso is also very keen to bring him to the Bernabeu," the Italian journalist added.
In this deal, 10% of the transfer fee will go to Juventus, Huijsen's former club. The remaining 5% will be sent to Malaga, where the central defender began his professional career. This is a clause included in Huijsen's past transfer contract.
With their defense constantly plagued by injuries, especially David Alaba and Eder Militao out long-term, Real Madrid have good reason to finalize Huijsen's signing soon. Trent Alexander-Arnold is also set to arrive at the Bernabeu on a free transfer.
Huijsen has attracted interest from several Premier League clubs but only wants to join Real Madrid.
