Real Madrid welcomes its first new signing.

On the evening of May 16th, European media outlets unanimously confirmed that Real Madrid had reached an agreement to sign Dean Huijsen from Bournemouth.

Young talent Dean Huijsen becomes Real Madrid's first signing of the summer of 2025.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano used the familiar phrase "Here we go" to confirm the deal is complete. Dean Huijsen is undergoing a medical examination and will sign a five-year contract with Real Madrid, running until 2030.

"The Spanish royal club will spend £50 million to buy the young central defender from Bournemouth. Real Madrid consider Huijsen a top talent, and new coach Xabi Alonso is also very keen to bring him to the Bernabeu," the Italian journalist added.

In this deal, 10% of the transfer fee will go to Juventus, Huijsen's former club. The remaining 5% will be sent to Malaga, where the central defender began his professional career. This is a clause included in Huijsen's past transfer contract.
