Young talent Dean Huijsen becomes Real's first signing in the summer of 2025. |
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano used the familiar phrase "Here we go" to confirm the deal is complete. Dean Huijsen is undergoing a medical and will sign a five-year contract with Real Madrid, running until 2030.
"The Spanish Royal team will spend 50 million pounds to buy the young midfielder from Bournemouth. Real Madrid considers Huijsen a top talent, and new coach Xabi Alonso is also eager to bring him to the Bernabeu," the Italian journalist added.
In this deal, 10% of the transfer fee will be transferred to Juventus, Huijsen's former team. The remaining 5% will be sent to Malaga, where the midfielder began his professional career. This is a clause in Huijsen's transfer contract in the past.
With the defense constantly ravaged by injuries, especially David Alaba and Eder Militao out for long periods, Real Madrid have a reason to complete Huijsen's signature soon. In the near future, Trent Alexander-Arnold will also arrive at the Bernabeu on a free transfer.
Huijsen has attracted interest from several Premier League clubs but only wants to join Real Madrid. This season, the 20-year-old centre-back has played 30 Premier League games for Bournemouth, scoring 3 goals and contributing 1 assist. Huijsen has progressed rapidly and has been called up to the Spanish national team by coach Luis de la Fuente, playing two matches in the Nations League.
Real is determined to make drastic changes in the summer of 2025 after losing to Arsenal in the Champions League quarter-finals, as well as surrendering to Barcelona in the La Liga race this season.
