Unitree's H2 robot can perform many complex martial arts moves.

Chinese robotics company Unitree recently captured the attention of the tech community by posting a video of its humanoid robot performing a series of complex movements. The clip quickly went viral on social media thanks to the machine's flexible, powerful, and precise movements.

The main character in the video is the Unittree H2 robot. In a test environment with humans, the robot performs a series of martial arts movements such as high jumps, spinning kicks, somersaults, and balancing after landing. Notably, the H2 robot was able to kick and break a watermelon placed high above, demonstrating good force generation and movement control.

Not stopping there, the robot also performed direct kicks to sandbags weighing approximately 30 kg. In another scenario, the H2 model even simultaneously kicked two sandbags with a combined weight of 60 kg. Despite applying significant force to the objects, Unitree's machine maintained its stability and did not fall, a major challenge for humanoid robots.

Unittree's H2 robot has surprised many with its impressive martial arts skills, showcasing flexible movement through complex martial arts techniques and demonstrating significant progress in robotics technology.

According to observers, the movements in the video are not only for demonstration purposes but also reflect progress in the robot's dynamic balance, joint coordination, and force reflexes. Performing powerful kicks, jumps, and safe landings requires precise control systems and real-time data processing capabilities.

Unittree previously stated that the H2 robot was developed with the goal of becoming a flexible robotics research platform. The device is equipped with multiple actuators at its joints, allowing it to replicate movements closely resembling those of humans. Besides the hardware, motion control algorithms play a crucial role, helping the robot maintain balance even under external influence.

Unitree Robotics is one of the leading robotics companies in China, previously known for its affordable quadrupedal and humanoid robots. In recent years, the company has consistently released videos demonstrating the robots' ability to move, dance, and interact physically, showcasing the rapid development in the global robotics field.
