These days, throughout the neighborhoods of Lien Hoa ward, the atmosphere of urban beautification and upgrading is bustling and urgent. Transportation infrastructure is being invested in comprehensively step by step. The urban landscape of the ward is changing noticeably, bringing joy and excitement to the local people.
One vivid example is the road in Lien Hoa 7 area. Once a narrow, bumpy concrete road with difficult traffic conditions, especially during the rainy season, the nearly 1km long road has now been upgraded and widened to be spacious, clean, and beautiful. The project has a total investment of nearly 2 billion VND. Besides the support from the province and local authorities, the people in the neighborhood have unanimously contributed to realizing the project. Hundreds of square meters of land have been voluntarily donated by households to widen the road, creating favorable conditions for traffic and economic development.
Mr. Nguyen Van Bon, Head of the Front Committee of Lien Hoa 7 area, Lien Hoa ward, said: "During the road renovation process, we encountered many difficulties due to obstacles at some bends and narrow sections affecting traffic safety. Acting as a bridge between the government and the people, the Front Committee of the area actively propagated and mobilized households to donate land, widening the obstructed areas and increasing the road width from 3.5m to 4m. Now the road is newly renovated, smooth, clean, and comfortable to travel on, and everyone is delighted."

Not only the Lien Hoa 7 road, but after more than a month of implementing the urban upgrading program, the existing residential area in Lien Hoa ward has achieved about 50% of the planned progress. Many projects have been completed and put into use, contributing to changing the appearance of the residential area and improving the quality of life for the people.
Mr. Le Van Thap, Chairman of the Lien Hoa Ward People's Committee, said: The ward is currently implementing 18 urban upgrading and residential infrastructure projects with a total investment of approximately 57 billion VND. From the beginning, the ward's Party Committee and government have focused on decisive leadership and direction, strengthening inspection, supervision, and urging construction units to ensure the progress and quality of the projects. To date, the ward has completed 5 projects, disbursing 36% of the planned budget. For the remaining projects, the ward continues to direct contractors to provide sufficient equipment, machinery, and personnel, striving to complete all projects before the first quarter of 2026.
Residential areas in Hong Gai ward are bustling with the sounds of construction machinery and a vibrant, urgent atmosphere. Every street and corner is being "given a new look" with the synchronized implementation of urban beautification projects, creating an increasingly green, clean, beautiful, spacious, and modern urban space.

Mr. Dao Ba Van, Deputy Director of the Hong Gai Ward Service Supply Center, said: "These days, the unit is actively coordinating with contractors, concentrating manpower and resources to both accelerate the progress of urban beautification projects and deploy visual decorations and propaganda using banners, slogans, and posters on main roads. Currently, the entire ward has 17 major urban and residential area renovation and upgrading projects being implemented simultaneously, reaching about 50% completion. Although there is not much time left until the Lunar New Year, the working spirit remains resolute, urgent, and determined to complete the projects before Tet, contributing to creating a new, clean and beautiful urban appearance, so that the people of Hong Gai ward can welcome a warm and joyful spring in an increasingly civilized and modern urban space."
Urban renovation and upgrading projects in existing residential areas not only help to fulfill urban criteria but also contribute to creating a new, modern, and civilized appearance for neighborhoods, improving people's lives. This is also an important foundation for localities to promote rapid and sustainable development, meeting people's expectations for an increasingly modern city, and gradually realizing the goal of building the province into a centrally-governed city.
