The bustling holiday season at the end of the year

These days, the Christmas spirit has permeated Nha Trang's coastal city, with Christmas trees and Santa Claus appearing everywhere. Hotels, resorts, and entertainment venues have planned activities to ensure guests have a warm and joyful holiday season.

For several days now, shopping malls, restaurants, hotels, and shops along the coast have been organizing activities to welcome the Christmas season. On the evening of December 6th, Novotel Nha Trang Hotel held a Christmas tree lighting ceremony to kick off the year-end festivities. During the event, the hotel also sold handmade items by disabled children, Christmas decorations, Yule log cakes, and food to raise funds for underprivileged children. Prior to this, the Sheraton Hotel also celebrated Christmas by erecting a Christmas tree, creating a "giant" gingerbread house for guests to take photos in, and holding a lively Christmas lighting ceremony. The InterContinental Nha Trang Hotel welcomed Christmas with the unveiling of a Christmas tree made from 17,000 pairs of macarons.

Besides the Christmas tree lighting ceremony, many hotels have also planned culinary programs and entertainment activities to serve tourists and locals celebrating Christmas and welcoming the New Year 2025. On the evening of December 7th, Vinpearl Nha Trang (Hon Tre Island) kicked off the festive season with a Christmas tree lighting ceremony, a Santa Claus parade at VinWonders and many other locations. During the Christmas season, Vinpearl Nha Trang also immersed itself in the festive atmosphere with a food festival, a carnival parade, and an artistic fireworks display at Tata Show… Vinpearl resorts and hotels on Hon Tre Island also organized Christmas parties and New Year's Eve Countdown Parties.

In the Bai Dai area (Cam Lam district), resorts are also starting their winter festival series with many attractive cultural and culinary activities. Among them, Alma Resort has erected a giant gingerbread house made from 232kg of flour and is selling desserts such as traditional Christmas cakes, pastries, cookies, and gingerbread. Mr. Ingo Stöneberg - Deputy Managing Director of Alma Resort, said: "From the beginning of October, Alma's baking team started kneading and shaping the dough, then spent two days building the gingerbread house. During the Christmas season, Alma also organizes many other interesting activities such as: a Christmas market to sell handicrafts and local products; afternoon tea, Christmas parties and New Year's Eve parties… With these exciting activities, recently, Lonely Planet travel magazine selected Alma Resort as one of the 12 best hotels and resorts to celebrate Christmas around the world ." Also in the Bai Dai area, The Anam Cam Ranh Resort will host a Christmas tree lighting ceremony along with many culinary and entertainment activities such as: a BBQ party at the Lang Viet restaurant with a fire dance show and a Filipino band performing on Christmas Eve, afternoon tea… Movenpick Cam Ranh and Radisson Blu Cam Ranh resorts will also organize many similar activities.

According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Le Thanh, Director of the Department of Tourism , the number of international tourists visiting Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa is increasing, so tourism businesses are proactively planning cultural, tourism, and culinary activities to attract visitors during Christmas and the New Year 2025. In December, the Tourism, Culture, and Industry and Trade sectors also have many activities for tourists and locals to enjoy. For the first time, Khanh Hoa will erect a Christmas tree in the April 2nd Square in Nha Trang City for tourists to take photos and commemorate their trip to the coastal city. In particular, the Heineken Festival at the April 2nd Square on the evening of December 31st promises to be a grand celebration for tourists to end the old year and welcome the joyful New Year 2025. With its unique series of events and meticulous preparation, Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa continues to affirm its position as one of the most attractive beach and island destinations in Vietnam, and visitors will enjoy a complete festival season when visiting Nha Trang.
