Strengthening propaganda efforts
Arriving in Tay Ninh Hoa commune in early March, we clearly felt the vibrant atmosphere spreading along every street. National flags, Party flags, banners, and slogans promoting the election day were prominently displayed. Alongside this, the public address system regularly broadcast news about the rights and obligations of voters, the criteria for representatives, and the time and location of voting. At the community center in Buon Lac village, many residents attentively reviewed the voter list and brief biographies of the candidates. Ms. H. Ut from Buon Lac village confided: “I am an Ede ethnic minority, and I have voted many times. Every election, voters in the village remind each other to attend in large numbers. This year, the officials have been very thorough in their propaganda efforts, even coming to our homes to guide and remind us to double-check our names and ages. I am looking forward to election day so I can cast my ballot myself.” Mr. Y Ú also shared: “Currently, voters clearly understand their rights and responsibilities. I will go vote early and encourage my relatives to participate fully. I hope that those elected will pay more attention to the lives of the people, especially ethnic minorities.”
