"The Son Thang residential area needs to continue actively promoting its fine traditions to build a neighborhood of compassion, mutual support, and to strengthen the movement for encouraging learning and talent development," emphasized Ms. Pham Thi Thanh Thuy, Head of the Mass Mobilization Department and Chairwoman of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Fatherland Front Committee.
To commemorate the 94th anniversary of the Vietnam Fatherland Front's Traditional Day (November 18, 1930 - November 18, 2024), on the morning of November 7, Ms. Pham Thi Thanh Thuy, Head of the Mass Mobilization Department and Chairwoman of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, joined the National Unity Day celebration with officials and people of Son Thang residential area, Truong Son ward, Sam Son city.
In a joyful atmosphere, delegates and residents of Son Thang residential area reviewed the 94-year history of the Vietnam Fatherland Front's Traditional Day; at the same time, they assessed the results of implementing the task of building national unity, patriotic emulation campaigns and movements, and launched emulation movements in the area.
According to the report presented at the festival, Son Thang village has effectively implemented various emulation movements and campaigns over the years, focusing on the "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas" campaign. The average per capita income in the village is estimated at 60 million VND/person/year; only 0.078% of households remain poor; and 96% of households meet the standards of a culturally exemplary family. This has contributed to strengthening the power of national unity to successfully achieve socio -economic development targets.
The National Unity Day in Son Thang is an opportunity for people to engage in cultural and sports exchanges, fostering a spirit of enthusiasm, solidarity, and unity, and to collectively strive to build a more civilized, prosperous, and beautiful homeland.
Speaking at the event, the Head of the Mass Mobilization Department and Chairwoman of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, Pham Thi Thanh Thuy, congratulated and praised the achievements of Son Thang residential area in the past period.
Ms. Thuy stated: In the coming time, Son Thang residential area will actively promote its fine traditions to build a neighborhood of compassion, mutual support, and love, strengthen the movement to encourage learning and talent, and continue to call on children living away from home to wholeheartedly contribute to building their homeland. It will also continue to improve modern tourism infrastructure and develop diverse tourism products... contributing to building Son Thang into a model neighborhood.
On this occasion, Ms. Pham Thanh Thuy presented gifts to the residential group; provided support for the construction of a solidarity house for Ms. Nguyen Thi Hang's family in Son Thuy village; and donated 10 gift packages to disadvantaged households in Son Thang residential area.
