After winning the Arab Cup, Al Nassr suffered two consecutive defeats in the domestic league. Cristiano Ronaldo was absent from the first match due to injury and, upon his return in the second round, failed to score. It wasn't until the third round, when both of their expensive attacking stars shone, that Al Nassr finally secured a victory.
Al Nassr's opponent in the third round was Al Fateh, coached by Slaven Bilic. The home team also boasted two former European stars – Cristian Tello and Jason Denayer. However, Al Fateh was still outmatched by Al Nassr.
Ronaldo scored a hat-trick to help Al Nassr win convincingly.
According to Soccerway statistics, Al Nassr's players completely outclassed their opponents in terms of ball possession and shots on goal. Ronaldo and his teammates had 6 shots on target throughout the match and scored 5 goals.
Sadio Mane opened the scoring before Cristiano Ronaldo doubled the lead in the first half. After the break, these two stars continued to torment Al Fateh's defense with goals.
Ronaldo scored two more goals to complete his hat-trick. Mane also contributed with his second goal of the match, helping Al Nassr secure a 5-0 victory.
"Another great game from the whole team," Ronaldo wrote on social media after the match. The Portuguese superstar commemorated his third hat-trick for Al Nassr by asking the referee to sign his match ball. Previously, in the 2023/24 season, Ronaldo had scored three goals against Damak and Al Wehda.
The 5-0 victory against Al Fateh propelled Al Nassr to 10th place in the standings (out of 18 teams). In the next round, Ronaldo's team will face Damak.
