Ronaldo and Al Nassr have only 6 matches left to have any hope.
Ronaldo scored a brace in Al Nassr's 2-1 victory over Al Riyadh on April 13th, giving them three consecutive wins and significantly narrowing the gap with the two leading teams, Al Ittihad and Al Hilal. The match against Al Qadsiah (ranked 5th) is an opportunity for the Portuguese star and his teammates to continue their winning streak and close the gap on the top two teams in the title race.

Nevertheless, Ronaldo and his teammates had a poor day. The 40-year-old star himself played poorly, failing to create many significant opportunities.
Al Nassr fell behind 1-0 in the 35th minute to a goal from Al Ammar. Sadio Mane rekindled hopes of at least securing a point by scoring the equalizer in the 84th minute. However, just three minutes after the equalizer, Ronaldo's teammates made a defensive error, allowing veteran striker Aubameyang to score in the 87th minute, securing the victory for Al Qadsiah.
Despite the shocking defeat, Al Nassr still maintained their third position in the Saudi Pro League, but they are now trailing the two leading teams, Al Ittihad and Al Hilal, by 8 and 4 points respectively.
With only six rounds remaining in the 2024-2025 Saudi Pro League season, Ronaldo and Al Nassr's hopes of competing for the championship are becoming increasingly slim.
On social media platform X, Ronaldo expressed: "Every game from now on is an opportunity to move forward. Let's stand together, Al Nassr!"
Besides the Saudi Pro League, Ronaldo and Al Nassr have another chance to win the AFC Champions League Elite, where they will face Yokohama F. Marinos (Japan) in the quarter-finals on April 27th.
Despite not having helped Al Nassr win any championships, Ronaldo has just been offered a two-year contract extension by the Saudi Arabian club's management, extending his contract until after the 2026 World Cup.
