Saudi Arabian Cristiano Ronaldo lost his temper with the referee during Al Nassr's victory, before pushing away a fan who wanted to take a picture with him.
Ronaldo was reportedly unhappy when the referee refused to award Al Nassr penalties multiple times during their AFC Champions League play-off match against Shabab Al Ahli (UAE). Al Nassr came from behind to win 4-2 after trailing 1-2.
When his anger reached its peak, Ronaldo yelled at the referee, "Wake up!" Even as he left the pitch, the Portuguese superstar couldn't control himself. Seeing a fan wearing a badge, possibly an official or journalist, taking a selfie to capture him in the background, Ronaldo pushed the person aside.

This isn't the first time Ronaldo has shown displeasure since joining Al Nassr. In March, the Portuguese captain kicked away two water bottles on his way off the pitch after a defeat against Al Ittihad. Then in July, he caused controversy again by throwing water at a television reporter who had pointed the camera at him for too long.

Ronaldo has scored 20 goals in 27 appearances for Al Nassr across all competitions since joining the club in January. However, the 38-year-old striker has been goalless in three consecutive matches. This contributed to Al Nassr's two opening Saudi Pro League 2023-2024 defeats against Al Ettifaq and Al Taawon.
On August 12th, Ronaldo scored a brace, helping Al Nassr defeat Al Hilal 2-1 in the Arab Club Champions Cup final. This is his first title since joining Saudi Arabia. In the previous season's Saudi Pro League, Ronaldo and his teammates finished second behind Al Ittihad.

With their victory over Shabab Al Ahli, Ronaldo's Al Nassr became one of three Saudi Arabian clubs to qualify for this season's AFC Champions League, alongside Al Ittihad and national cup champions Al Hilal. Al Nassr will face Al Fateh in their next match on August 25th before taking on Al Shabab the following week.
