Implementing the Rural Transportation Improvement and Upgrade Project for the period 2024-2025, with a vision to 2030, many projects are currently being urgently completed. The projects, once put into use, will not only significantly contribute to changing the face of rural areas and reducing disparities within the province, but will also bring joy and hope to rural people as they approach the new year.
The project to renovate and expand the main road in Duong Hoa commune (Hai Ha district), connecting to National Highway 18, has a length of over 2.5km. The main road connecting Duong Hoa commune (Hai Ha district) to National Highway 18 is being urgently repaved with asphalt and some auxiliary items to be put into use before the first day of the new year 2025. The road in Dong Nam village, Dong Ngu commune (Tien Yen district) has been widened from 3.5m to 5.5-7m, ensuring two lanes for traffic. The road in Binh Minh village, Hai Lang commune (Tien Yen district) has been paved with asphalt and the drainage ditches are being urgently completed. All roads included in the project will have their surface widened to a minimum of 5.5m and paved with asphalt to ensure two lanes of traffic. All routes under the Project are implemented based on the principle of mobilizing people to donate land and move fences. The road in Hamlet 8, Quang Chinh commune (Hai Ha district) has been completed with road markings and has been put into use. The completed roads have transformed the appearance of the rural and mountainous areas of the province. It is expected that by the first day of the new year 2025, 25 projects will be completed and put into use, corresponding to 71km of two-lane rural roads. Simultaneously, construction will be accelerated to put into use an additional 17 projects during the Lunar New Year holiday in 2025.
