Lieutenant Colonel Doan Hong Nam, Deputy Commander of Regiment 95, said: “The Party Committee and Command of the Regiment consider being selected to participate in the competition a great honor. Therefore, all officers and soldiers of the Regiment are determined to do their best with the highest sense of responsibility, proactively overcoming difficulties to do a good job of preparing and consolidating the barracks. Through this task, we demonstrate unity, promote self-reliance and self-improvement, and educate officers and soldiers on overcoming difficulties.”
However, this is a complex task, requiring significant funding, effort, and time, thus demanding perseverance and high determination from officers and soldiers. The results of the preparation for the competition will directly contribute to improving the quality of life for soldiers and building a disciplined and orderly unit.”

By June 2026, the Regiment had repaired nearly 900m² of building foundations; repainted over 96,000m² of walls in residential and office buildings; replaced and reinforced over 20,000m² of roofs; and repainted hundreds of main doors and windows in the unit's buildings. The entire lightning protection and fire prevention and fighting equipment system was reinforced and inspected, with timely additions and repairs to ensure absolute safety.
The regiment allocated funds and mobilized the efforts of soldiers during their days off and breaks to renovate 5 barracks directional maps, 135 house number signs, over 1,000 hanging signs, 167 work schedule signs, and 21 command duty signs in accordance with regulations.

The regiment organized the consolidation and ensured that all types of equipment were available in a standardized and uniform manner within each unit, guaranteeing consistency and regularity. The soldiers' efforts, especially those of the carpentry team, were mobilized to repair damaged equipment, extending its lifespan and supplementing the units to serve the soldiers' daily needs.
In the first five months of 2026, the entire Regiment repaired over 500 pieces of equipment of various types, saving hundreds of millions of dong. They also cleared over 5.6km of power lines, repaired and replaced thousands of light bulbs and lamp holders; replaced electrical wires and electric fans; and installed nearly 100 solar-powered lights along internal roads, contributing to energy savings and improving aesthetics.

Based on existing grounds, flowerbeds, ornamental plants, and miniature landscapes, agencies and units will consolidate, plant new, and supplement green lawns, ornamental plants, and flowerbeds according to a unified plan. They will utilize the skills of officers and soldiers in creating landscapes and miniature landscapes; pruning, shaping, and caring for the system of ornamental plants and flowerbeds to create a high aesthetic value within the unit's grounds.
Nowadays, with its increasingly modern and well-maintained appearance, the barracks of Regiment 95 are not only a place for soldiers to study, work, and live, but also a tourist destination for local agencies, schools, and students to learn about the traditions of the Army.
Evaluating the results of the competition preparations, Lieutenant Colonel Thai Duy Tuan, Deputy Commander of the 2nd Division, affirmed: “The 95th Regiment has effectively demonstrated a proactive and creative spirit, mobilizing internal resources to consolidate its barracks, making them increasingly regular, green, clean, and beautiful to serve the competition. Many items have been comprehensively improved, serving the lives of the soldiers and creating a spacious and orderly appearance.”
Private Nguyen Tran Huu, a soldier in Company 10, 9th Infantry Battalion, shared: “When I first joined the unit, I was very impressed with the clean and beautiful barracks, with many green trees, and a neat, orderly, and well-organized grounds. The environment is green, clean, beautiful, and fresh, with carefully maintained and aesthetically pleasing flowerbeds and ornamental plants. The living quarters, meeting hall, and Ho Chi Minh Room are fully equipped with uniform and neatly arranged equipment. The auxiliary facilities such as toilets and sports fields are well-maintained, serving the needs of officers and soldiers.”
Through investigation, it was learned that, with a proactive spirit in mobilizing resources to participate in the competition, from February to June 2026, the Regiment mobilized nearly 3 billion VND, along with more than 20,000 man-days of soldiers' labor, to reinforce barracks, improve the environmental landscape, construct auxiliary facilities, develop agricultural production areas, technical areas, and the system of regular facilities. As a result, many facilities that had reached the end of their service life continue to be effectively utilized, meeting the unit's training and combat readiness needs.
With the achievements made in building and consolidating the barracks, Regiment 95 has now completed all preparatory work and is ready to participate in the competition with the highest level of determination.
