A single mistake can lead to disastrous consequences.

What initially started as just personal grievances of Ms. Ha Lan against her husband and in-laws has now become a "hot" topic, with women competing to expose their husbands and in-laws.

According to research by Kate Rosenblatt, Director of the online therapy company Talkspace (USA), when someone "likes" your post on social media, your brain automatically produces dopamine (the happiness hormone), which is good for your mental and physical well-being.

This feeling has prompted users to increase the time they spend on social media. And perhaps this is also why people with a lot to confide in want to share it on social media more often.

And from here, many awkward and comical situations and stories arise, affecting family happiness.

Ms. Ha Lan recounted an incident where she and her husband argued about how to treat her parents and his family. Essentially, her husband, despite not earning much, always wanted to control her finances. Every month, she contributed 5 million VND to her mother-in-law for food, but her husband complained it was too little and demanded she give her 6 million VND instead.

Meanwhile, when she gives her mother 1 million VND every month, her husband seems annoyed, saying it's not necessary and that she can give her grandmother a sum of money later during holidays... Coupled with many other frustrations in her husband's family that she doesn't know who to share with, Ms. Ha Lan wrote a heartfelt post in a private group of married women on Facebook.

Ms. Ha Lan's post attracted a lot of interaction. Among the comments, some advised her to stay calm, wait a few days, and when both she and her husband have calmed down, sit down and talk to each other. At that time, when they both listen to each other, the conflict will be resolved.

Some people said that giving her grandmother 5 million VND was too little, while others said it was too much. Some advised her to have a frank conversation, not just with her husband, but also with her mother-in-law and her husband's family, about her views on life and the grievances she had been enduring for so long.

Then there were unconstructive comments like, "If it's intact, make a ladle; if it's broken, make a spoon. What era are we in that you have to be so submissive?"; "It's better not to have a husband at all than to live with a husband who doesn't earn money and is also domineering"...

Ms. Ha Lan's story sparked other women to share their own family stories.

From a positive perspective, expressing one's inner struggles brings relief and a sense of release. In the case of Ms. Ha Lan, receiving support and interaction from the group members provided her with much comfort and encouragement.

Unfortunately, the story didn't end there. As for Lan, perhaps unintentionally or without realizing it, she didn't know that within that "private group" of several thousand members, there were people who knew her husband's family members in real life.

Although the rules of the "private group" prohibit sharing posts publicly, some "unknown acquaintance" of Ms. Lan in the private group took a screenshot of this post and shared it with her sister-in-law. And the story continues without end.

What initially stemmed from Ms. Ha Lan's personal grievances against her husband and in-laws has now become a "hot" topic, prompting women to expose their husbands and in-laws. In real life, Ms. Ha Lan is facing fierce backlash from her husband and his entire family.

And I fear that these emotional rifts, once pushed to such a climax, will not be easily healed overnight…
