The plan to update the Galaxy S22 series to Android 14 (stable version) was implemented quickly, even before the recently launched Galaxy Z Fold5 and Flip5 foldable phones. Both foldable models shipped with Android 13 and the One UI 5.1.1 interface.
According to Phone Arena , all three S22/S22 Plus and S22 Ultra models started receiving the Android 14 update last weekend, but it was rolled out gradually to a small group of participants in the community beta program. It wasn't until earlier this week that people in various countries began paying attention to the information after a post appeared on the social media platform Reddit.
Android 14 and One UI 6 have begun rolling out for the Galaxy S22 series.
The operating system upgrade for last year's trio of Samsung flagships will be available in all markets. Currently, most Galaxy S22 series users in European countries such as the UK, Netherlands, Romania, Croatia, Greece, Poland , Portugal, Germany, etc., have already received the update notification. For other markets, the update will likely be received later than in Europe, but the wait won't be too long.
The Android 14 beta for this device is approximately 3 GB in size, comes with the November security patch, and includes numerous improvements and optimizations for performance, as well as the addition of several new features. According to reviews from those who have experienced the Android 14 Beta (test version), the new operating system will bring many system optimizations and significantly improve device performance, even feeling "like using a brand new device, or at least better than before."
