The existing passenger terminal at Phu Quoc Airport has an initial design capacity of 2.65 million passengers per year. However, by 2025, the operational volume at Phu Quoc International Airport is expected to reach 6 million passengers. Particularly in December and January, the influx of international tourists for winter holidays and New Year celebrations keeps the airport constantly crowded. |

"In recent years, the airport has become much more crowded, with a sharp increase in Russian and Indian tourists. The terminal is currently quite small and lacks amenities, so I hope that after the upgrade, the experience will be better," she said. |

According to FlightConnections data, as of December 2025, there are 31 airports in 12 countries with direct flights to Phu Quoc. South Korea continues to be the largest source market with 73 flights per week. |
