From the early morning of the 25th day of the Lunar New Year, a large number of passengers arrived at Tan Son Nhat airport to return to their hometowns.

Meanwhile, the international departure area is expected to be very crowded between 7:00 AM and 10:00 AM, with approximately 56,000 passengers.

Tan Son Nhat International Airport has instructed its units to monitor operational plans and flight frequencies during peak hours in order to increase staffing accordingly.

In the heart of Ho Chi Minh City, many passengers from the central region have been using the metro to travel from Ben Thanh to the new Eastern Bus Station in Thu Duc to catch buses back to their hometowns.

On January 24th, the metro and its partners collaborated to introduce one-touch QR code scanning or payment via the Ho Chi Minh City metro app, eliminating the need to purchase tickets or pay with cash as in previous days.

With the metro system in place, connecting passengers to bus stations has become more convenient. On January 23rd, the new Eastern Bus Station deployed approximately 470 buses, serving 11,000 passengers.

This morning, the new Eastern Bus Station coordinated with various organizations to provide free bus services to help people return home for Tet (Lunar New Year). Specifically, there were about 10 sleeper buses carrying 440 passengers from Ho Chi Minh City to Nghe An bus station.
