The festival takes place over 14 days, from February 22nd to March 8th, 2026 (from the 6th to the 20th day of the first lunar month), with many diverse activities. The ceremonial part is held solemnly at the temple, including traditional rituals and processions of palanquins from the villages to the temple, expressing reverence and gratitude to ancestors. The festive part is lively with cultural, artistic, and sporting programs and unique folk games such as tug-of-war, wrestling, chess, volleyball, etc., creating a space for interaction, community bonding, and attracting a large number of people to participate.
The organization of the Bac Cung Temple Festival aims to continue preserving and promoting the traditional cultural heritage of the nation, while contributing to the development of local culture and tourism. It is also an opportunity to educate about patriotic traditions, foster national pride, spread the principle of "drinking water, remembering the source," and commemorate and honor the contributions of Saint Tan Vien – a saint associated with the legend of water control during the time of the Hung Kings. Through the festival activities, the people and tourists have the opportunity to learn more about the history, architecture, and art of the site; thereby promoting cultural tourism potential, strengthening tour and route linkages, and contributing to socio-economic development in the area.
With the active involvement of the authorities, Bac Cung Temple promises to leave many positive impressions and become a cultural highlight at the beginning of spring.
According to the leaders of Tam Hong commune People's Committee, preparations for this year's festival were made early, with the involvement of the entire political system. Specialized subcommittees such as those for ceremonies, propaganda, protocol and logistics, security and order, health, and environmental sanitation all developed specific plans and assigned clear tasks. The local government required all departments to strictly adhere to regulations on festival organization, ensuring it was solemn, practical, and economical; and resolutely preventing superstitious practices, soliciting customers, or illegal price gouging.
In particular, attention has been paid to ensuring security, traffic safety, and fire prevention and control; the surveillance camera system operates 24/7; and medical on-call plans and emergency response procedures have been fully prepared. To date, the temple grounds have been cleaned and beautified; the trees and gardens have been trimmed and maintained; and the opening ceremony area and the organization of festival activities have been arranged scientifically and logically. Everything is ready, ensuring a safe and healthy festival season, becoming an important highlight in the early days of the new year.
At this time, the Bắc Cung Temple is ready to welcome tourists for the 2026 festival season.

Following the merger of three administrative units – Tam Hong town, Yen Dong commune, and Yen Phuong commune – the geographical area and population of Tam Hong commune have expanded. These factors have created favorable conditions for the Bac Cung Temple Festival to gradually elevate its status and scale. In 2026, with thorough preparation, close guidance from the Party committee and government, and the unanimous support of the people, the Bac Cung Temple Spring Festival promises to leave many positive impressions, becoming a cultural highlight of the early spring, contributing to building a more prosperous, beautiful, and civilized Tam Hong homeland.
