In the communes of My Thuan, Son Kien, Hon Dat, Binh Giang, etc., preparations for election day are also proceeding urgently. Many main roads are decorated with banners and slogans. Local public address systems regularly broadcast information about the significance and importance of the election, and the rights and obligations of voters. Pham Thu Thuy, Chairwoman of the People's Committee and Chairwoman of the Election Committee of Hon Dat commune, said that the commune has 33 polling stations with approximately 42,000 voters. To date, preparations for election day are basically complete, from compiling and posting voter lists to preparing facilities at polling stations. The locality continues to promote awareness campaigns to ensure people understand their rights and obligations, actively participate in the election, and ensure that election day takes place safely and in accordance with the law.
Rach Gia Ward, the most populous locality in the country and the political and administrative center of the province, has made thorough preparations for the election. According to Comrade Mai Hoang Khoi, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee and Secretary of the Rach Gia Ward Party Committee, the election process has always been a priority for the Party Committee, departments, the Fatherland Front, and political and social organizations, ensuring its comprehensive and rigorous implementation. The ward currently has over 194,000 eligible voters. Widespread propaganda has been carried out through the radio system, electronic information websites, social media, visual propaganda activities, and a competition to learn about election laws. At this point, election preparations in the ward are basically complete, ready for a safe and lawful election day.
No voter left out
Along with other localities, Go Quao commune has also meticulously prepared for the election. Thanks to proactive and coordinated implementation, the election campaign has achieved high consensus. According to Ms. Ngo Bich Thuy, Party Secretary and Head of Phuoc Trung 1 hamlet, for many days now, the Party branch, the Front Committee, and the hamlet's election team have persistently gone door-to-door, thoroughly understanding the situation of voters and ensuring that voters can exercise their rights and obligations to vote. Phuoc Trung 1 hamlet has 1,854 voters. The locality strives to achieve a high voter turnout rate on election day, March 15th, contributing to a democratic, safe, and successful election.
In addition to disseminating information through loudspeakers and visual aids, in residential areas, officials, union members, and association members also visited each household to inform them about the time and location of voting and guide them in checking the voter list. Voter Le Huy Thanh, residing in Thi Tu hamlet, My Thuan commune, expressed: “The local authorities have disseminated a lot of information about the election, so we are quite well-informed. This is both a right and a responsibility of every citizen, so I will arrange my time to participate fully in voting and choose capable and responsible representatives.” Voter Ngo Van Thao, residing in Binh Giang commune, shared that the voter outreach sessions allow people to directly meet and exchange ideas with candidates and listen to their action programs. Thanks to this, voters have more basis to consider and choose those who are truly dedicated and capable of contributing to the development of the locality.
Alongside propaganda efforts, localities are also focusing on reviewing and updating voter lists, especially for temporary residents and those returning from working abroad, ensuring citizens' right to vote as stipulated by law. In An Phu commune, the official list of candidates has been posted at 30 polling stations across 8 electoral units. The entire commune has over 34,000 voters who will directly elect 25 representatives to the commune's People's Council for the new term. Mr. Pham Thanh Danh, a voter from An Hung hamlet, said: “I came to see the list to carefully learn about each candidate, so that I can choose someone with sufficient virtue and talent to represent the voice of the people.”
Ensuring candidates' right to campaign.
In upstream areas of the Tien River such as Vinh Xuong, Tan An, Chau Phong communes and Tan Chau, Long Phu wards, preparations for the election are entering their final stages. Election campaigning activities are being carried out in accordance with the Election Law through two main forms: organizing meetings with voters and disseminating information through mass media.
At voter outreach meetings, candidates present their action programs while listening to the opinions, concerns, and aspirations of voters and the people. This helps voters better understand the capabilities, responsibilities, and commitments of each candidate if elected. Many candidates also participate in interviews with local newspapers to introduce themselves, their action programs, and their contributions to local development. This format helps voters, especially those in border and remote areas, easily access information.

Many residents have expressed interest in this important political event. Mr. Tran Ut, residing in Binh Phu 1 hamlet, regularly listens to election announcements through the commune's public address system. He eagerly awaits the day he can cast his vote to choose worthy representatives for the people.
With thorough and coordinated preparation, along with the involvement of the entire political system, we believe that the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and representatives to the People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term in the province will be a great success, truly becoming a festival for the entire population.
